Well yea, I dont expect 250 on a weekly basis. But 90 a week would be nice. I'd take that in a heartbeat.

It was just one of those day for Austin. On that day, it was easy for him. I don't expect another 10/250 day for another 40 year. I'll settle for a consistant 5/90 yards... give or take a few.

Yeah as good a game as Austin had, he dropped two potential TD passes. I'd like to see the production on a more consistent basis. But what he does bring is something Crayton doesn't have - Yards After Catch. Granted Romo made some beautiful on the money passes, but Austin got most of the yardage on pure physical attributes. I'm stoked to see him start again! Hopefully health will not be an issue.

I'm withholding judgment until he proves he can play like this on a regular basis. Everyone knew he was a burner. It's the durability that was the question. Now, so far this season, he's dropped a lot of passes and generally hasn't been on the same page with Romo. Hopefully, they can work on those last two during the Bye week. I don't want to see him as another T.O. ...dropping 25% of the catch-able passes thrown his way. If he plays up to potential, he's got a chance to a major weapon in the NFL and possibly even a Pro Bowl. That would make him one heckuva steal for what we signed him to in the off season. Just hope, if that happens, that he doesn't pull a Boldin on us.

Finally, Austin steps up. Now do it against a good team and I'll love you forever.
We are definitely winning this weekend.

What a monster game for a 1st NFL start! 10 catches and 250 yards. Looks like Crayton lost his starting job to Miles Austin. Wade was asked if Austin would start against the Falcons in week 7. Coach Cupcake stated “we are going to try and give him about the same number of snaps that we gave him on Sunday.” Well he was in on over 50 snaps against KC. So it looks like Crayton can grab some pine at the end of the line.

No deal for Austin, the Jets have decided to look in the draft for a reciever. If no one makes Austin an offer by Friday, he'll have no choice but to accept the Cowboys tender offer. For now, thats how it should be. If he wants to make the big money, he has to play an entire season and be a valuable contributor.

It's just surprising that Lance Moore is going unnoticed after a breakout year.[/quote] Well probably, as you mentioned, because of his lack of size. Everthing (speed and ability) being equal, I rather have 6'2" then a 5'8" on my team.

Just goes to show you there are some hidden gems out there. Even Colston was the Saints final pick of the draft that season. But thats also a very receiver friendly offense, they throw, throw, throw. The Jets haven't made an offer to Austin yet, but they have to do so by the 17th. So the Cowboys will know what they have to do with Austin before the draft.

What's surprising to me about this ordeal is the Lance Moore factor. Moore was also an undrafted walk-on, now playing for the Saints. Why are people talking about Holt and the few unsigned over-the-hill guys and showing no love to Moore? Look at the comparison:
Miles Austin (Age 24) (Dal) 13Rep 278Yds 3Td Lance Moore (Age 25) (N.O.) 79Rep 928Yds 10Td
Both players were tendered the same offer. Moore could be a steal. Surprising how Moore is flying under the NFL radar. His chance to shine only came from injuries to Colston and Henderson. Moore is a DeShawn Jackson type player. Great speed but billed by many as too small to play in the NFL (5'9" 183 lbs). I'm not sure Moore could hold up against the taller strong db's in the NFC East, but then Jackson proved a lot of experts wrong. It's just surprising that Lance Moore is going unnoticed after a breakout year.
