It depends on if you are talking about one game or a 5-7 game series. If you're talking about one game, any team can beat another on a given night. In best of 5 or 7 games series the best team generally will win.
That being said I think Boston and Orlando out of the East could provide LA with a stiff challenge and could in fact beat them. In the west I'd have to say that Denver is probably the best bet. Denver has gotten better this offseason. I think San Antonio looks old - Chicago exposed them the other night and I don't see anyone else challenging the Lakers.
