Celtics cause the celtics always beat the lakers in the finals ( 90-2)you could say the celtics own the lakers in the finals !\a

Lakers are more likely to repeat and beat Boston, Lakers have finished better than the Celtics by a margin of 37 to 24 over the entire history of the NBA. The finals score would be closer, but Boston keeps ducking the Lakers by losing in the ECF during seasons the Lakers win it all. Those years, once again, are 1953, 1954, 1972, 1980, 1982, 1988, and 2002. Boston had HCA in the series from 1972-88.

Silly Cetlics fans have met their match when I step in and shame them with the facts! Besides, Lakers have the better team, last year and this season!

With the addition of Artest only makes the Lakers stronger. Barring any serious injury I dont know if anyone can beat them.  I can see a repeat comeing.Super Happy

pjd,

Thanks for the update on the order of sporting events, but Lakers basketball is priority #1 in my world which is why I chose to discuss the Lamar signing and the Lakers chances of repeating.
One question: In MAY, who the favorite is?

mink7,
Your boy Teixera is making quite an impact in his first season in pinstripes...How bout that dismantling of the Sox this weekend?

How SWEEP it is.

BLEED..IT FELT MIGHTY AWESOME..WATCHING THE YANKEES DISMANTLING BOSOX!  ABSOLUTELY..TEIX IS MAKING A HUGE IMPACT IN THE YANKEES LINEUP...HE IS PLAYING OUTSTANDING DEFENSE TOO.

I AM STILL CELEBRATING THE LAKERS CHAMPIONSHIP WIN..AND THEN THE YANKEES SWEEP BOSOX!  LIFE IS GREAT!  LOL!

What up J-Dub...The new format definetly leaves something to be desired.

lakerfan54,
They are the favorites as evidenced by the Vegas oddsmakers but 82 games leaves a lot of room for injuries etc but if all goes right, seeing another parade in LA is a likely scenario.

mink7,
Lamar kept all of LA guessing...much like he does ON the basketball court but without him we'd have been in trouble. I'll miss Ariza but Artest should fill that void nicely as long as he takes his meds.

pjd,
Yeah, blame Prop 215...I bet you thought we were high when we said they'd win it last year too. Here it goes again....LAKERS IN JUNE

underage,
Phil has a history of winning in threes.
I don't think they'll break the season win record and frankly I don't care...as long as they win again in June.
