The Hawks played a really GOOD game Friday against the Suns. They followed the formula for success: (1) Hussle to every ball; (2) Big Man By Committee; and (3) Double Picks and Screens to create offense.

Why did this formula work -- I give the most credit to Pachulia and Wright who combined to deliver an aggressive 11 fouls (which slowed the Suns BIGs down), 14 points and 14 rebounds. Wright played the best fundamental basketball I have seen all this year. He blocked out on every possession and kept the Suns from getting second chance buckets. (Sounds simple, but the Hawks don't do the fundamental which explains why they are inconsistent at best.) If Sheldon can add an aggressive 6 fouls to this mix (hard fouls on the opposing BIG) and 6-8 rebounds, Atlanta would have a superstar BIG MAN BY COMMITTEE averaging 20 points and 20 rebounds!

Special notice should also go to Childress and Williams. Childress -- a good player -- decided to finally play with attitude. Williams -- who was 3-19 from the field going into the game --remembered that he could actually drive the lane and create a shot. If Marvin uses his speed to attack the basket and plays with attitude (i.e., Childress), he could consistently deliver 15 points and 5 rebounds a night.
