paper I have been away from home alot lately and i am probably not as informed as I usually am...but did you say Theo still had a job?
The Sox still let him run the team? When did this happen? LOL
I think he's on the verge of signing Byrd to a long term deal in an attempt to outsmart the rest of baseball, figuring to save a ton by signing him now as opposed to next July. You know the reload for the WS run thing they do with Byrd every year..hehe..
To stay close to us they have to sign Halladay...thats it and get a friggin SS its the 21ts century already!
You know what happened here paper...Theo blew it two years in a row by not getting Santana for Masterson and Bucholz...then getting his pants pulled down by Cashman and Tex...No CC ....Smoltz project failed...Penny is gone...THEY ARE TWO YEARS BEHIND IN FILLING NEEDS....say what you want about the Yankees and the payroll..at least they know what there team will look like 6-10 years from now...the Sox have nobody locked up long term...are piecing it together on the fly...and its not working....
They haven't dissappointed us in their attempt to keep Bay either...typical Sox antics knowing that any top flight slugger outfielder is going to want 5-7 year package at his $ amt....the Sox offer 4 years as a way of strengthening their chances of signing him...lol...and he will be wearing another uniform next year... You just know in typical Sox fashion,The Sox are going to feed nonsense into their fans heads via feeding tubes as they enter Fenway turnstiles about how some mean old team came and bid it through the roof and thats why they don't have Bay, or tell them that the deal got stolen on them overnight or the player failed to communicate....and the fans will eat it up..

Paper..do you believe this? I mean he is a legit backup since his stregth is supposed to be working with the kids...VMat is a nice offensive player but he is horrible defensively...the team is going backwards

Have done it again...they have released Varitak and Gonzo...again..they "reward" their Captain by showing him the door...unlike the Yankees who reward even their aging players...the Red Sox want loyalty and home team discounts from their players when they negotiate...but they show none themselves..they will probably float some story out there so that they don't have to deal with the fan outcry...now the question is...who's next....
