In this huge sh*t storm of negativity there are a few things we can at least take away as positives:

A-rod didn't win the MVP. I'm kind of neutral about Matsui. Sure I don't like him, but he's not as hateable as lips Mcgee or Tex or Posada, etc.
With this win hopefully next year the Yanks won't be "reloading" their team by signing the top 3 free agents available to over priced contracts.
It's been made even clearer to how much EVERYONE hates the Yankees. Sure in Boston it's commonplace, but I think we've got a common friend with Philly now and further exposing A-rod and Tex and Burnett to the world via this World Series will surely show how annoying those guys are and earn them a lot of anti-love.

"Shemp" Matsui is like an Asian Frankenstein monster..He's irrelevant..But Texeira...Have You ever seen a Guy so animated as to force Himself down the throat of His teammates, after every routine putout at first the Guy is screamin' and a pumpin', with that fake camera smile ..He's a classic..

Boys...what are you gonna say if the Sox go after him...hes 10x's the DH and human being that Papi is...and he didn';t pad his whole career with steroid enduced stats...and i'm pretty sure he doesn't molest 8 year old boys...which we know is a problem in Boston

"Oh, let's all cheer up because A-Rod's come full circle now. He's got his ring, he's complete, blah, blah, blah, whatever. Listen, they’re used to it, and they have to accept the fact that no one outside New York is even remotely happy today. OK, the Yankees won. Move on. When does spring training start? When do we sign free agents?

". . . I love to see Mariano Rivera, I'm a fan. And Eric Hinske as well. So, it's a personal thing for me. I think for players maybe. I don’t know that I'm really friends with anybody in my life that wants any team in New York to ever win anything."
