Bstnbest stop complaining. The Yankees have 2 WS championships this decade (2000 counts as this decade) Red Sox also have 2. Great. Yankees bought their players and recaptured fans hearts? In 04 major contributors from the Sox were what? Home grown? Please. Manny, Ortiz, Beckett, Schilling, Orlando Cabrera, and Orroyo were acquired via FA or through trades. Offseaon additions along with some homegrown guys is how both of our teams have won championships.
I never said decade I said Millennium.

Sure I can, the Celtics own a larger percentage of championships than the Yankees and are getting another one this year. Cue the mother****in duck boats.
ps. The Yanks join six other teams in second place this millennium with one World Series win. Hey, at least they're on the board!

I'd just like to congratulate the new champions. A fine effort. They went out and got some big stars, and recaptured the hearts of their loyal fan base. Despite a season full of turmoil, they came through in the clutch. This was a team with alot of character and I tip my hat to them, they really do deserve this title. Ladies and gentleman, your 2009 world champions... THE WASHINGTON KASTLES!
