Even as they attempt to claim that there is no bitterness it oozes from every post...its killing them that a team that lowered payroll and reinvested the money into better players, won in its first try at a brand new stadium with Arod leading the way, won it all while they watched...this after their owner bought cheap broken down players after pretending to be interested in the studs. Congrats Yankees and the fans of the team...and congrats to MLB as the Yankees further market their product.

Sorry Mickey but the 'bitter Sox fans' have nothing to be bitter about. Yes, they didn't win it this year and the Yanks did. Congrats Yanks fans! The Red Sox no longer envy the Yankees like they did previous to 2004, and the bottom line is that the Red Sox DO invest in their team every year, that's why they have been top 4 in payroll every year since 2002 AND they were just replaced as the most expensive World Series Champ ever by this years Yanks.
Enjoy your crown, but don't rub it in. It's not like you were down 3-0 and came back to win anything, it's not like you got 86 years of history off your back. You had to suffer for 9 years. What a drought.
Keep it going Guys ..I'm feeling better already...

Mickey,
Indeed, it is (the champagne)! We will enoy it this evening while preparing for the parade tomorrow! This was a very long but rewarding year! And you are right, the Yankees did exactly what they are supposed to do in every way!!!

Congratulations to all the Yankees fans on here, Richboats, Paperboys, Buttercup, Mink, Yankeesfan, etc.
The Yankees did exactly what they should have done. Invested in their team to win...and they did. Don't let the brainwashed bitter Sox fans pretend like investing in your team is wrong...it's only wrong because their team doesn't do it LOL
Congratulations on #27, guys!!! The champagne's on ice!!!
