Back to baseball. LOL. I think the Yankees just need to work a few new guys in the lineup every year. As much as I love Damon and Matsui it may be time to let one or both go. Id love to get Figgins cause he could play anywhere, hit for average, and steal bases. Great fit for the one hole. Whats the rumors about the X-man? With his season ending injury he never got much of a chance to show us what he has this season. But he's a lifetime .281 hitter and being a right handed batter he gives us a little flexibility in our predominately left handed lineup. Id resign him if his demand wasnt outrageous. We could use Gardner a little more this year in center, bring our Triple AAA catcher Cervelli up and platoon him with Posada.
Dont know if anyone would give us anything worthy for Wang so we might just have to keep him and see what he is like in July or so when he is able to return.
We really are in need of starting pitching and if Andy doesnt come back it just makes it worse. Im not impressed with anyone out there though. Jackson from Det. may be a one hit number and went downhill the second half of the season, same as Lackey. Only one I could see getting is Haliday and he may want to break the bank. If we get Haliday we could also trade Joba.
