the umpiring hasn't been great....all year...It was another missed call..no sense in whining about it...you just have to keep playing and hope it doesn't.... (and it didn't )....effect the outcome of the game...

They didn't show it on TV but he did come back and touch the plate. It didn't have any bearing on the game though. The umpiring has not been good throughout the playoffs this year.

AngryAngryI want to know WHY the Homeplate Umpire could NOT see that the
Phillie (Howard) did NOT even touch Homeplate in the 3rd..The Phillies
should NOT have been given that run.  The announcers saw it, I saw it,
my family saw it, and millions of others saw it...WHY wasn't this
taken to the camera screen booth to replay this BLIND RIDICULOUS call.  This
Umpire should be FINED ,000 for this stupid call.  It is NOT the
only bad call he has made.....This is the World Series Playoff, ALL
bad calls should be reviewed......Maybe the announcers are on the
Phillies side.....come on, the win doesn't mean ANYTHING, if it isn't
won HONESTLY.......Someone needs to CORRECT this, and do it BEFORE the
game is over........AngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry
