Not only does Howard need to do better, but Ibanez has been a no show as well. If these two get going tonight, it will be a Philly win for sure.

Petitte is intense...and experienced...and he got a hit...the national league never has a huge line up...Howard isn't there...we'll take tonight..

I did notice that, lol. They are such idiots. I'll be honest and say when the Phils went up 3-0 I thought they were going to keep putting rune on the board but Pettit regained his composure and shut them down, he probably could have gone the distance if they needed him to.
I'm at a loss for words when it comes to Howard. During the season he became more of a complete hitter and during the playoffs he made something happen almost everytime he came up to the plate.
I'm not going to get into the HR call because it didn't have any bearing on the outcome of the game, but I don't think it was 100% conclusive.
Must win game for the Phillies tonight. YIKES!!

It seems all you have to do is pitch lefty...and Howard disappears...by the way...did anyone notice how giddy Buck and McCarver were when the Phillies had a three run lead..and what they looked like after we took the lead ourselves?? the disappointment was so obvious...those two are terrible...
Buck and McCarver continually slam the Yanks...every half inning I was being a reminded an extremely obvious A-Rod homer...i was listening to Joe Morgan and John Miller...and Morgan is just as bad...

Howard- - big scary hitter, who can drive the ball a mile. To bad for the phillies, that right now -the only way he drives it that far is in the trunk of a car!!!
Yanks- MUST keep up the pressure on anyone not named LEE. Pettitte showed why he is a champion- lottsa pride, lotta guts. Didnt pitch well, but didnt let the game get out of hand. The bar had phillie fans(well, not too many- I was in NY) who thought it was over when phillie got that 3 run lead- Please!!!
This team , can and did -wipe that out & sent hammals packing b4 the 5th ended-
Philly is a very good team- - but are they good enough?? Its going to be a great series

I can't even count on my fingers and toes how many time I've heard about A-rod striking out 3 times last game, but have I heard hardly anything about Howard striking out 4 times and earning himself the coveted Golden Sombrero? The answer to that is NO!!! This is ridiculous. Why is the media jet streaming against the Yankees all the time? How do network representatives get away with only hiring guys who hate the Yankees? I am so sick of sitting at home listening to this crap all day, especially on fox sports in their Pre-game shows. And more importatly during the game with Buck and McCarver. They give no credit to any Yankees. During the last hour of this pre-game show I've heard Andy Pettite's name mentioned I think maybe once even though he's had a spectacular post season up to this point. I've heard Hamels name over and over again. He has had a below average post season. Also how about the blown call when Howard caught a short hop and they said he caught it in the air? Why didn't the umpires get together like they did in the previous game and reverse the call? I'll tell you why. It's because it hurt the Yankees. All I heard about today was how Utley was safe on first on that double play ball and how that could have cost philly the game. Well how about when they blew the call when Damon Hit it to Howard and called it a catch and Posada was tagged out on 2nd? That could have been a huge inning for the Yankees because Texeria would have been coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd. More ridiculous Anti-Yankee media biast. This just goes to show the biast that networks continue to have against the Yankees. As a Yankee fan I'm disgusted about this. It's one thing to hate the Yankees, I don't care about that, a lot of people do, big deal. But why do I have to keep hearing all these guys on TV just absolutely Belitteling our team? Why can't we get at least one Yankee fan, or just someone who doesn't hate the Yanks to talk on one of these pre-game show's? Is that to much to ask for? I don't think so. I guess we'll get the last laugh when we're celebrating our 27th World Series!
