No choking here, I mean its baseball, teams have their ups and downs, the worst teams win 40% of the time. Sure it would have been nice to keep pushing the seven game lead up to 10 or 11, but mostly the hot streak Detroit had opened up enough lead to hold off Minnesota's good play the last two weeks. Add that to this Tiger teams style of weak road play and strong home play, and it totals up to a 3 game lead with four to go, and likely a Tiger division title, if not tomorrow (10/1 aka the first of Octiger), no later then Saturday.
The only thing that makes it tough to believe in this team is that weak road play. They will really need to pull one out in NY to try to win it in four in Detroit. They will need to win at least one road game in both AL series, more than one if they are less than perfect at home. (Thank the All-stars for the home field in the series.)
All in all it figures to be an exciting month of OCTIGER on fox, and here's hoping the show doesn't get canceled after a week!
