I have a wish list for the Mn Twins for their 2010 season at Target field. Sign Joe mauer to an unbelievable extension contract that includes as many incentive bonuses as possible. Say an 8 to 10 yr deal for $180M. If these guys stay healthy and they are Scott Baker, Kevin Slowey,Nick Blackburn,Brian Duensing and a few others to be named later to do the following. Keep your seasonal ERA'S at 3.10 or lower. If possible each pitcher is to pitch at least 200 innings. Depending on the support you have then limit the number of home runs given up to other teams. Continue to keep your walks at current levels. During the 1st half of the season I want to see Baker and Slowey pitch so well that both will be invited to the All Star game in July. Trade Glen Perkins and anyone else you can think of and they(Brewers) can get without breaking the bank in our minor league system and get SS JJ Hardy(change of scenery will do him good). He had a down year but there is plenty of upside to this player. During Spring training invite Danny Valencia a 3B and let him start the season at that position.Yes he is a rookie, but the MN Twins have this nasty habit of sitting on these players way to long! He's 26 and with 4 years in the minors this man has proved that he is ready. So give him his chance. Remember we still have Nick Punto and Brendan harris and soon to be named later a few players to back him up. Oops! almost forgot the Twins can resign Joe Crede for one more year if they want to. Justin Morneau please, if you have to be in a batting slump then please do it at the beginning of the season like in April! Not in the second half of the season when this team really needs  you the most. I see you just had surgery this week to remove bone chips. I hope all is well soon. Justin I hate to say this but you and Joe M are obtaining a reputation of being injury prone.the Twins need to do a better job of protecting you and one way to do that is give you more time off like they do with Mauer. They have a few players available in the minors that could spell you for a couple a games a week. I think the xtra rest from the bench should help during the season. When this new season starts let Carlos Gomez start in Rochester so he can learn to bunt, learn to be more patient at the plate, teach him better base running skills(did I leave anything out)and if and when he proves he is ready then bring him back. However Carlos fear not. Cause  Alexi will be with you if the Twins do not release him(he is out of options) Ok then there is alot more for a future wish list but that will come later. Any body want to share your wish list .......

This is possibly one of the worst posts ever!...are you kidding?!? please tell me you are because gardy has been the only reason that the twins are in it every year!  Obviously people are going to point fingers at managers, but at the end of the day it is the players that win the games.  I cant believe you say that gardy has no fire!! have you ever watched a twins game?!?  The man goes crazy when a sacrifice opportunity is missed.  The twins are going to make this post season this year and it is because of the drive this man puts in his team day in and day out.  Why do you think the twins are still in it without their former MVP Morneau??  They have been playing better ball without him and your telling me that Gardy is doing a terrible job.  If there is a manager out there that can do a better job...please inform me because I think you are crazy!  Please do not make another post of this sort because it shows you have no baseball intelligence at all!

Who wouldn't be content winning 2 out of 3?  If we won 2 out of 3, we would win 108 games per year.  That would be a great record over 10 years.

Bill Smith has made two terrible trades during that same time frame. We lost Bartlett and Garza to the Rays for Delmon Young and Brendan Harris. We also lost Johan by sitting on our hands yet again when a big name player should have been resigned earlier and we got Carlos Gomez for the effort. In all fairness, Bill Smith should be the one to blame and not Ron Gardehire. The fact that Justin Morneau, Joe Nathan and Michael Cuddyer were signed to solid long term deals is an attribute to a public a$$ kissing from Bill Smith. Joe Mauer will be the next Twins player to be mishandled come renegotiation time and will start a trend of the Twins falling back into total mediocrity while losing great players due to an inability to figure it out. Bill Smith is not the caliber of GM that Terry Ryan was and never will be. You can also blame the Pohlad's for refusing to open their pocketbooks and shell out the money necessary to make a team a World Series winner, not a division struggling dissapointment.

The last 2-3 years the Minnesota Twins have been in a terrible slump, ineffective starting pitching, horrible middle relief, and a management team that thinks Nick Punto is a good Player, when everybody knows that Brenden Harris is way better than Punto, and then their is Gardy, he has no fire or heart , he is also content to win 2 out of 3 games and Billy Smith can't seem to get it that they need good players and may have to give up some of those prospect in order to have a viable team to get to the Playoffs, What do they do, continue on in the same old way or do you FIRE the Coaches and GM, OR DO YOU KEEP THEM AND REDO THE TEAM?
