I'm a big Albert fan, but would rather not hear talk about the Triple Crown right now. Albert does good when he puts pressure on himself, but still has difficulty handling the media circus. Look at his All-star performance, a couple of years ago when he was on a home run binge and they were predicting 60+, when he had his hitting streak.... I could go on.
Albert's best chances are if he's managed right.Where as he is cold right now,he should be rested for a game now so he can relax and reload and come back fresh.However,if management allows him to keep struggling,who knows?Worse,they could wait till he heats up again and then rest him and break his momentum...He is the best in the game...but even the best need to be handled properly.
I think he will easily win his 3rd MVP if he even just does half of what he did in the first half. The Triple Crown will be really tough i think because of the RBI's if not enough get on for him he is going to half a hard time staying in first place. But it would be pretty sweet if he did.
his 3rd MVP is in the bag,,the Triple Crown will be tuff in the BA category,,but I only want the WS this year for him,,and I'm sure that's what he wants too
Unless Albert misses a month to injury or longer, this is going to be his greatest season. He is hitting like a runaway freight train and playing incredible defense! I think his batting average will increase enough to win the batting title. I think that's his biggest hurdle. Homeruns and RBI's at this time are going to be huge, scary numbers! He may steal 20 to 25 bases and lead the league in Runs and Lord knows what other categories. He won't be the Stolen Base or Triples leader! Go Albert! Go Cards!
Well if the man is going to win the Triple Crown he better start hitting the way he was before the AllStar Game ,time to get hot Albert.
