Jeter was the best player on the best team in baseball. The Yankees DO live and die with him. He carried them through all of the injuries and sub-par pitching. This is terrible. The people saying things about their payroll are so blinded by that fact. Stop being haters and look on the field. He's solid with the glove, won another golden one. He won the silver slugger for shortstops, he's the best player in baseball, love him or hate him. Don't we always talk about five tool players? He's definitely one of them, and it's a shame that he'll probably not have another chance at this award. Justin Morneau will go down in history as a one-hit wonder. It's a real shame.

(But I hear Jessica Biel comforted him last night, he'll be fine, but it's still a shame)
