I think that this is an awesome idea. I always go by the motto of "Dont critique what you cant do", and this is definitely an applicable scenario. Let's see those guys up in the booth for MNF try to contain LaDanian Tomlinson.
I think the All Star Weekend should have a new event added. A homerun and fielding contest for the media and broadcasters that spend so much time talking smack from behind a microphone or computer. I would make it more of an American Idol contest where ballplayers and former ballplayers would judge the skills of these guys and talk smack about them in front of everyone. It would be funny to see Joe Buck take a few swings and than have Barry Bonds or A-Rod critic his form. It would then be fun to see McCarver talk smack to him the rest of the night. It might humble some of these non-atheletes that always think they can do better. Or they could do it like a Joes versus Pros type of thing. Anyone else have any ideas or comments?
