I guess the guys who get the hits and score the runs must be finally fed up with their pitchers. They score six to seven runs and they still can't win. The pitchers are a joke. This must be on the minds of the other players on the team who must be boiling inside to see all their hits and runs go down the drain two or three innings later. They should have never let Piazza, Oliver and Bradford go. What's wrong with David Wright. over the past two nights he's hit into three double plays when the Mets had a rally going. What's wrong with Jose Reyes? One night he hits two home runs and the next night he goes 0 for 4. Reyes, Castillo, Beltran and Wright have to get on base. Gomez, Chavez and Gotay have to get on base. The Mets are playing like they hope they'll win not like they want to win. Shame on the Mets for collasping like this. Wake up David and Jose. Other teams hit home runs, triples, doubles and gappers. We hit pop ups, into double plays, fly balls and we strike out. Kudos to Beltran, Alou, Green, La Duca, Anderson. Can Castro play another position? We have to score ten runs to win with our pitching. It's strange: None of the pitchers were pitching this bad earlier in the year. Maybe they hear footsteps. Just like last year's championship series against the Cardinals the choke is on. Stop trying to hit home runs and hit the ball where the gaps are. One thing we know is that with all the hitters that we have they are helpless against our weak pitching.
