IF Bonds is indeed found guilty, then MLB MUST do the only honourable thing and erase and disqualify all records and stats that Barry has achieved over his career. No need for an asterisk.. no need to waste print on him, or to take up space at the Hall of Fame. The evidence apparently is damning to say the least. Lets face it, you cannot charge and convict anyone by way of popular opinion, and Bonds is no different. Maybe he IS not guilty, BUT... the only way for him to wriggle out of this, is if his trainer Anderson fesses up and personally clears Bonds of having nothing to do with Balco, and nothing to do with taking performance enhancing drugs. Bonds needs to be transparent, and obligatory to all those who need to find the truth. The truth SHALL set you free. If you have not told the truth Barry, then you must face the penalty, and the disqualification of your personal achievements. Better yet... the Giants should sue him for breach of contract on behalf of the 1000's of fans duped in watching him achieve all these records unfairly. Yes.. that would do the trick.. hit him in the pocketbook just like the NFL's Falcons are going after Vick. Hit him where it hurts... in the pocketbook.
