Thats true. I am surprised that that "has been" Barry Bonds hasn't been traded to a AL team so that he can sit on the bench and play DH. I don't even think that the AL should have DH. If you can hit the ball, why can't you go out into the field and play some D. Give me a break! GO PADS!

Actually most has beens wind up in the AL where they can become a DH and not have to play in the field.

Question: Where do AL 'has been's' (go)? To NL teams, of course. So, what happens to NL 'has been's'? Ah, they play for the PADRES

Bustdatwinkle] I was looking at the mlb web site today and they have knott listed ont he pads lineup it will be great to see a power hitter come in and make a difference.

I can't believe they are going to have T.Walker fill in at 2nd base... that is a complete downgrade from Barfield. Remember that great trade to Toronto of R.Alomar? That went well for somebody, not us.

GREAT POINT!

I don't know enough about kouzmanoff to make a judgement but i hear he's pretty decent.... but giving up barfield to have Todd Walker? I think Walker is ok but I'm not sure about him as an everyday second baseman... I heard they were trying to bring in Marcus Giles, Brians litttle bro. I played w/ Marcus in little league.... amazing talent and would be nice to have him home in San wrote:

large ups for the pads signing Maddux. A pro's pro and going to really help the young guys come along in the clubhouse. His workouts are legendary!

We still need a bat tho.... can anyone out there please tell me why there is not more heat around John Knott (plays for the portland beavers AAA)? I live in portland and have seen him play and swing the bat. My office is across the street from PGE park and he hits balls into our building all the time! We need to give him a shot as an everyday corner outfielder. Trust me the guy is a masher!
