Come on, you guys aint never gonna quit being Pirate fans, you got yellow and black in your blood just like me. Its been a long time since Sanguillen, Parker, Stargell, Clemente and the whole crew I grew up with, I moved as a kid just as they were coming into their own, to, of all places Cincinnatti and the Bi-red machine. Even with all the ribbing I got I remained loyal, and after the Pirates time to shine was over I am still a major fan. Hell if you guys who are complaining would admit it, you love the Steelers, the Pirates and the Penguins win lose or draw. Its insidious, yellow and black gets into your system, it passes down through your genes. **** all you want its America, God bless us the greatest country ever in the world, home of Pittsburgh and the greatest teams ever to throw a pass hit a homer or pull a hat trick.

I just can't believe these fkn jokers did it again like that. Simply amazing how they continually find ways to sabbotage every damn season as though they were actually making progress. One poster mentioned earlier how Jason Bay was once one of these minor league players obtained in a trade, but guess what - he ain't fkn here anymore either because they pissed him away too!!

Early in the 2008 season, I swore that I would not follow the Pirates again until they were near .500 in mid- to late August. I thought last year might be the year, then they pissed away all that talent in trades. I thought this year might be the year, but here they are up to their old tricks again.

Pirates - Farm team to ALL MLB teams. Simply amazing. Sure glad my fkn tax money bought them a new ballpark, fkn losers.

Trading an established player for young prospects never looks good at the beginning but remember Jason Bay was once the young prospect obtained by the Pirates in exchange for Brian Giles. Ironically the Pirates also got Oliver Perez in that deal who was later traded for Xavier Nady.

At Spring training I dared to hope for even a mediocre team. During the All-Star break there was a hint of promise. On Aug.1,2008 my life long love affair has died. Now it's only the memories of unforgotten heroes.Roberto,Dock,Maz,Deacon and the Lumber Co.
