I disagree. Why would anyone as determine to work their butts off as Roger waste his time pitching for a team that does not score for him. He had 17 quality starts last year. He went 7-6! I say more power to him. I say If I'm going to bust my ass, well, damn it make it worth my while and give me some wins!! I think all of us would of done the same. Would you work your rear end at YOUR work, and trhen at the end of the year have your boss fire you cuz the company was in the red?

uh, yeah, pj... he "means" we DO NOT NEED HIM". Many great pitchers in the league and minors to choose from and we sit and wait while Mr. Clemens decides which team he wants to play for. Many players would die for the opportunity to play and Clemens just chooses when he wants to play. Sounds like he is a child like Terrell Owens, Keyshawn Johnson, and any other player in any sports league who needs to just shut up and play ball for crying out loud!!!

pjd]You two would take him back in a heartbeat. And Roger knows that. If you had a chance to work 9 months a year or 6 months ,,what would you do? Thats too bad tho, he will probably milk this out for all it's worth.

I thought I was clear when I said flip Clemens. The Astros always put together a strong rotation. BTW I have always thought that Roy Oswalt was/is the ace of the staff even when Pettite and Clemens were wrote:

Agreed.... Not only is Roger being an ass to his teamates he is being an ass to baseball. He is being a spoiled OLD (baseball old) man. He needs to retire or play. Not this 80/20 crap. Some team is going to pay him a full year salary for a 2/3 season. We need to let him go. We could have gotten several more pitchers for the amount of money we are holding in hopes of his return. Nevermind the fact that assuming he does play for either the Yanks, Red Socks or us it will have to be the team with the best record. Where is your loyaly Roger? We have been more than accomadating to him. Kody plays what? Without trying to hard I can list half a dozen better 3rd basemen that are in AAA now. We had a good run with Roger now we need to step away from him. Let someone else watch the Rocket run out of fuel at the end of his already shortened season.

We got screwed last off-season waiting for this guy to decide wheather or not he was going to play. At least this season we picked up a bat (Carlos Lee) and a solid #3 (Woody Williams). Now we have to cut Clemens loose and look for more pitching help.

So he finally decides that he doesn't want to play this season. Thanks for letting the Astros organization know a little sooner j e r k.

It's bad enough that he gets to play when he wants but did they have to sign his son too. We already have Mo at third and though he is not very consistent he is without a doubt better than Koby Clemens. Why should you show Clemens any loyalty when he didn't show the Astros organization any?

Move on.

We should be looking at Carlos Zambrano or maybe getting Kerry Wood or Mark Prior on the cheap. We also need a middle releiver.
