The reason he is not gone is because he is drinking buddies with the Monfort brothers. To me it seems like they see only see owning the rockies as a part time hobby.

My opinion is, there is no player leadership on this team. Not a loud mouth, just someone who is like Chauncey, a great leader of men. Forget silent leadership. Sometimes the players need the tazer or cattle prod..... They fall assleep and someone needs to get them going again!
My personal opinion is Clint is not getting them going..... he has quite a few excuses and uses them. Maybe it is time for a change...... Look at Florida, they've won it all, Tampa Bay went to the Series and so far this year are kicking.... The Rockies are back to mediocrity (again !).....
Also, O"dowd is the real thing..... He has restocked the farm system, and has done a real good job with what the Monforts have given to him (not much) It's time to sell the team to Stan Kroenke or someone who wants to win!
We are winners in Denver, but rooting for a team who plays alseep is tough to take !

Any Rockie Fans out there? I lived in Denver for 21 years so I am a diehard fan, no fairweather stuff. I look at this team and say to myself, "Something is wrong here," and I think it starts with Clint Hurdle. I think the only reason he is not gone because it would be an embarrassment to the National League before the All-Star game.
