Retro_Man]Byrnes has always been something of a loose cannon, which is why the network hired him. The networks seem to have a thing for hiring sarcastic know- it- alls.

Especially that one.
And, it is NOT only for baseball.
They also have the very word and one sided know it all on TV~~mccarver.
Have you noticed that, when he says a pitch was high, low, inside, etc and the graphic shows he was typically wrong, ne NEVER acknowledges it?
Also, if it works in favor of "his team" the red sox, he's even worse about it.
Talk about "fair & balanced". He's sure on the right network to make THAT a stinking joke.

I said non-biased, not nonsensical. Then again, I didn't expect you to know the difference.

I'm a Red Sox fan, but I agree with you 100%. Every single person on Fox is biased towards one team or another.

Why would they bother asking Eric Byrnes? He's on the Diamondbacks, for God's sake! They don't think he's going to be just a little upset that his team got swept by the Rockies.

And I know that a lot of Rockies fans think there's an incredible East Coast bias on Fox, but my God, they're showing player profiles of Rockies players and showing replays of Buckner in '86 for the Sox fans. I don't see how that's equal at all.

But why... why, oh why were Buck and McCarver going on and on about how wonderful Derek Jeter's cologne is? That's their Yankee bias coming through right there.

Here's to hoping for non-biased commentators.

I can't believe the only player/commentator Fox Sports could find for the opening of game 1 is Eric Byrnes. If the game were on a different channel, I sure wouldn't be watching him. That's like spitting in our face. And what a shock that he picked the Sox in 7...I really think he wanted to pick the Rockies...right... I sure hope they get someone else to do the other games. Otherwise I might scream!
