Griffey in HOF as a RED ? .. no chance .. not unless he does it to honor Griff Sr. .. yeah, its his dad , but I just don't think he's that generous .. wants to go in as "his own man" .. and he did that in Seattle, not Cincy . .. we'll have to wait a while and settle for Joey Votto .. if the REDS'll pay to keep him .. (lotsa luck on that one, too..)

i think that no matter what you so called experts, who know nothing about baseball, you can not hold the injuries against griffey. you all seam to forget griffey took less money to come here, and was promised they would put a team around him to bring a championship here. as we remeber the management did nothing to put talent around griffey. no matter griffey is on class act and one best 5 players ever to play for the game[hl=red][/hl]

I dont want Griffey in as a Red. Everyone kisses this guys behind. Any real Reds fan knows he was the worst thing that ever happened to the Reds. All that money tied up on injuries and laziness? Cmon. He didnt do anything as a Red

Bringing back an old thread here. But, it looks like you were all wrong. Junior recently stated he would go in as a MARINER. After he was in Seattle last summer, he also stated he wanted to return to finish his career here. So there.

If Griffey only played two seasons for the Reds, like Clemens did with the Astros I would see the correlation. However, Griffey will most likely finish out his career with the Reds and will have played 10 seasons for them and broke the 500th career HR mark and most likely his 600th career HR mark with the Reds. Sorry don't see the relation to Clemens and the Astros. Need to do better.

Griffey going in as a Red can't happen. That would be like Clemens going in as a Astro.

Start the dscussion now. Griffey is a first ballot Hall of Famer if his career ended today. He was born a Cincinnati Red, he belongs a Red in the HOF. Put him in with that famous wishbone 'C' on his cap! Sorry Seattle, no Homteown Hero crap works here. Period. Done.
