Everyobdy's been hatin' on the Reds this year. Have you noticed? The "experts" picked the Reds to finish 5th this year. The Brewers have been getting all the love, the BREWERS. Yes folks, the Brewers who finished many games BEHIND the Reds last year are all of a sudden the sleeper pick in the NL Central. Sorry, the Reds have as good a chance as ANY team in the Central to win it. For years the Reds have never gotten respect, despite having the games All Century Player. Krivksy has been making good acquisitions to improve the pitching and defense (Arroyo, Rodriguez). Even when the Reds will win games this year, it won't be because they won the game, it's because the opposition lost it. (Case in point, look at the articles written about the Cubs-Reds series, they sounded disappointed the Cubs lost the series and said they self-destructed, not that the Reds made a comeback) They same will be the case if the Reds win a playoff spot this year, the other teams will have lost it. Hmm seems as thought sports writers forgotten which city gave birth to the first professional team and fielded the best team in baseball history, the 1976 Reds. Hey writers, this city and franchise deserve a little more respect.
