RDoF Posse 0]The goat is a story perpetuated by the lazy media. Anyone who has ever sat where Mr. Bartman was sitting knows you can't see the players when they're up against the wall from those seats, of course the fans aren't going to blame a player who has just helped his team get into the post season. As a very very young child I was a Sox fan, I think I was influenced by the TV coverage in the the very early sixties. My mom convinced me to root for the Cubs somehow, I don't think she wanted me traveling to Comiskey from Rodgers Park. I guess being from the north side influenced my decisions as an adult to follow the Cubs for better or worse. I know it certainly was great to work third shift, get off at 08:00 A.M. hop on the "L" to go to the ball yard, stand in line for bleacher seats, watch the game, eat drink and be merry, hop on the "L" to go home and go to bed, wake up and go to work, get off at 08:00 A.M. hop on the "L" to go to the ball yard, stand in line for bleacher seats, watch the game, eat drink and be merry, hop on the "L" to go home and go to bed, wake up and go to work...... for every home stand, it became a way of life during the '85 season. I certainly couldn't do that at Comiskey. No other club in baseball has as much interesting history as does the Cubs organization, going all the way back to folks like Spaulding who founded the sports equipment company that still bears his name. Perhaps it has something to do with hope and unattained aspirations.

this is what I'm talking about and it wasn't even pointed at you,,but you CAN read can' wrote:
