As a lifelong Yankee fan..I really don't care if we get him or not...but for Minny to seriously think that between the two offers.( Red Sox..Yankees )...that the Sox offer is better ..then they deserve to to be in the position they are in..CoCo Crisp???..He couldn't hold Melky's jock...and Lester....decent pitcher..but just average at best...4th or 5th starter...has health issues..so you don't even know if he can start 30 times..Hughes,Kennedy..better prospects and only 21 and 22 ...if they are going for the Sox deal...they should only do it if the Sox include Ellsbury..lester and buckholz...CoCo Crisp..what a joke...Santana would look good in pinstripes but I won't be distraught if we don't get him...in fact it might be a blessing in diguise...keep the kids..

Roided up cheaters?
Remember this. The Mitchell Report has absolutely no factual information in it. Nobody failed any tests, everything is hearsay.
On the other hand, your big game set-up man Juan Rincon was suspended for Steroids. Failed the drug test legimately.
Put that in your pipe and shove it up your a$$, punk.

enough is enough, neither the yanks or the sox are getting santana. he is way to classy for either of your clubs. spend all that money the way they do and still stink up baseball. the yanks stink, spend all that money on steroided up cheaters. i cant wait till baseball wises up and makes this league fair and keep these idiots in check. im sick and tired of goerge trying to ruin ball. make it a level playing feild so we can keep our good players and compete. I will stop watching baseball if the twins trade santana to you idiots. the sox are no better. without ortiz you win nothing. were did he come from the twins. we got to get rid of all are talent because of what your teams have done with these crazy contracts. if we had all the players we have lost. no one would be in our league, and how do the twins do it, they do it right by the draft and there farm system. you guys should really try it before baseball is ruined for good. and another thing you guys act like you are the only ones who have ever one a series, with all the money your teams spend there should never even be a game played, why? you have allready bought the out come right. keep all your used up players we dont need them we will do it the old fashioned way. the farm system. and a good coaching staff. and our cheap ass owner.

My friends , I know You are hitting a crossroad with Your ace pitcher Santana. You may not have the money to resign Him , so trading Him may be the only option if He refuses Your offer. I'm here to alert the fans that there is a conspiracy here in NY regarding false media reports from papers and magazines attempting to hoodwink the Twins franchise regarding Johann. The reports are an attempt to"sell" second tier ptcher Ian Kennedy as a blue chip prospect in the category of Joba C, and Hughes . DON'T BE FOOLED BY THIS CAMPAIGN..call Your radio shows , write You team, flood the airwaves...If the Yankees want Your ace pitcher ...YOU MAKE THEM BLEED TO GET HIM...BLEED. You ask for Cano, Hughes , Joba ...I know from media connections , They think They can pull the wool over Your eyes ..You the fans CAN'T let it happen..........It's up to You[/quote] as much u want him we might not trade, plus he dosnt want to get traded he wants his carrer here

People often ask me what team I hate the most in baseball, simple. The Boston Red Sox. Don't get me wrong, I don't like the Yankees, but if there's anything worse than a bad egg its the little brother who's always jealous and trying to be just as bad. The Twins are getting robbed on this deal, I say just keep him, let the Red Sox and Yankees duke it out next winter and pay him ridiculous money and eat up some more payroll. More money for the other teams because of the luxury tax... Twins should keep Santana, make a run for the title, and if they can't, so be it. Go Twinkies!
By the way... new ballpark in 2010. Awesome.

Yanks2004,
With the guys they are receiving...you would think that the Twins were trading Juan Rincon to the Red Sox. This is an absolute terrible deal...every analyst knows it and has expressed it except for bias Boston fan Peter Gammons. Buster Olney was even on Mike and Mike in the Morning talking about how this deal doesn't make any sense and will probably fall through because the Twins fans will be very upset they aren't getting even one potential all-star on their team to cheer for. They are really getting a bunch of scraps and leftovers from the Red Sox.
A sigh of relief for you Twins' fans for now...as I've heard a deal with the Red Sox probably could be scrapped. That's probably the best option. According to Buster Olney this morning, he claims your organization feels it has a better chance of grabbing potential all stars for the future by taking the 2 draft picks you'll receive from the team who signs him than grabbing the Red Sox crumbs they have swept under their rug. If I were you I'd be extremely happy about this. Call up your radio stations and express your opinions. If this deal goes down, it could be one of the most embarrassing things for even ANY sports fan to even endure.

My Twin City Brothers....Please disregard all this jealous negative Yankee talk. This deal over the next few years will be a steal for Your scrappy team ..a rotation of Lester , Liriano, Garza, Materson will be terrific..Coco in centerfield You will love...Big Jed Laurie will be Your starting shortstop..and The new addition, the young cemterfielder from new jersey, is also in the Red Sox top ten .So stay the course..be patient ..and just let this happen..We will all benefit from it in the long run.

Twins fans. You better hope this is all just headline hooplah because if you're seriously considering trading the best pitcher in baseball to the reigning World Series champs for their back up centerfielder who costs 5 million a year and can't hit, a Cliff Lee like left handed dud in Jon Lester who hasn't proven anything, and 2 unproven young kids in the minors...than you might as well not buy any tickets to see your team this year. It will be pointless. The Red Sox will run away with it and it won't even matter than you guys got ripped off with a bunch of crappy leftovers from the Red Sox.
Call up your radio stations and protest. This will be one of the worst trades in the history of the world. YOU can do something about it though.
I don't care to have Johan Santana. For all I care you can ship him to the National League. Do I want him? Of course...but I don't care. I love our prospects just as much. But trust me, if you send Santana over to the Red Sox for a bunch of scraps and leftovers of players who are all mediocre at best...than you might as well just call the season over with already. The Red Sox have already won it.
Think about it...it makes plenty of sense. Call up your radio stations and talk about how horrible it is...protest with picket signs outside of the Twins' offices! This is an absolute travesty. Do something about it. YOU have a voice that can be heard Twins' fans.

But Mick, they won't do that...they are all against buying championships...the Sox Hierarchy are also opposed to buying players to win WS's...they certainly do not want to dissappoint their fans and get tagged as hogs or god forbid some sort of Evil Empire...Hypocricy! They want to blame the Yankees for high priced athletes...come on....how did George get those criminals in the NFL and NBA so much money? They are all jealous because the Yankees have always cared about winning and invest in their team....now that they have learned from the best they are the new ''Empire'' ..........................of fools................ I like our rotation and would be just fine with it to start the season.....we can always spend the $150 mil later...we don't need it right now.
