i think the twins have the money to pay the players as well as others i just think they dont have the balls to make a big signing of a big name player i mean we should get a out fielder and a good 3rd or 2nd pitcher and we will be set that is what screwed us in the playoffs if you know i mean

We've won just as many World Series' as the Yankees have since 2001. The AL Central 4 out of 5 years isn't to shabby wrote:

Nah, we'll never be able to spend the money that other teams can, so we just get to ride the ups and downs of our farm system. Can't contend every year with out some free agent pickups

Its a great honor for a player, but as a twins fan, its not good for us at all. MVP's command a good chuck of money, and when mauer, santana, and morneau's contract come up....were screwed.

I think we stand a chance of keeping them because they came through our system and were damn good on our professional athletes, but we will never pay them what they could make in a yankees or red sox organization. Santana could get 20+ mil a year, and mauer and morneau could easily get 15+ mil a year.

Its a great honor for all these players....but individual honors without a world series trophy doesn't mean much to me.

itS great that the mvp pick comes from minnesota , heck isnt it funny that a team that spends less gets the best results out of their players, look at the facts Mauer , Monreau and santanna as only three members but very big members of the Minnesota Twins, IT JUST FEELS GREAT TO SEE THEM EXCELL LIKE PAST TWINS AND ALL FROM THE SMALL MARKET TEAM THANKS TO THE MINNESOTA TWINS ORGANIZATION WE THINK YOU ARE GREAT KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND MANY MORE WINS AND GREAT PLAYERS TO COME WATCH OUT YANKEES AND REDSOX'S TWINS ARE HERE TO STAY AND BEWARE OF BETTER THINGS TO COME:D
