I do not like what Sheff said about Latinos, but Tigers have several lation players, let them deal with him.

Tigers have an excellent team and we should support them.

Mr Sheffiled is quite an ignorant man and has demonstrated his lack of education everytime he opens his mouth. Lets not forget this guy makes 8 million or more a year, by the way he made milliuons before he became a man.

His claim to fame wont be his records, they are few but his denial he did not know what the cream was. He is a cheater just like Mcguire and Bonds and all the other juicers so he has no credibility. Come on Gary what did u think the cream was.

Furthermore his comments should be be considered racist and denounced by MLB and the media. However, that would require courage and honesty and that does not exist in the major leagues or in our society as a whole. Plus its only a story if it comes from a white player or reporter, who would be thoroughly trashed by the latino community for even utterring such idiocy. Well whats even more amusing is all the latin players lining up behind him, in America they get more respect than they ever got in their country's of origin. Hey it is whatit is another stupid athlete with nothing intelligent to say.

Rodriqez had it right leave the guy alone, he should of finished the statement with because he knows no better.

"It's about being able to tell (Latin players) what to do. ... Being able to control them," Sheffield continued. "Where I'm from, you can't control us. You might get a guy to do it that way for a while because he wants to benefit, but in the end he is going to go back to being who he is. And that's a person that you're going to talk to with respect, you're going to talk to like a man. These are the things that my race demands.

This quote taken from Sheffield, is indicative of what a truly, uneducated, and uninformed individual, like a "celebrity" athlete, would say when he needs another 15 minutes of fame. I don't think he knows how to give respect, much less demand it. Since when did he become the "expert" spokesperson for the entire black race. If it wasn't for baseball, nobody would know who he is, except his family.
