This once proud organization has been down for so long. Remember well the days of Boog Powell, the Robinsons, Cuellar, Palmer in his younger days, McNally, Johnson, etc. It would be nice to see you back to where you once were.
Here is to those that have gone before us and to those serving on the front lines to ensure our freedoms.

I trust the GM McPhail tremendously! He seems to know when to pull the trigger to get the biggest bang for our buck! Our farm system is the heathiest it has been in decades, I hope they leave it alone. Firing Trembley would prove nothing, who's going to replace him?
We're so close to competing with the Big Boys in our division and I believe if we keep the course and let McPhail do his magic we could be on top in 2-3 years.

Yep, you're right, things aren't gonna change anytime soon with Angelos and it sucks. He's not willing to spend the money he needs to have a good team, and I hope he does sell the O's to Cal. Now he's the person that can turn these guys around. About Tejada and Roberts I agree, they could have traded Tejada to the astros for Roy Oswalt and maybe Morgan Ensberg or a utility man like Chris Burke, I like Tejada a lot but if you can get a proven starter like oswalt you have jump on a deal like that. Tejada's homerun numbers have fallen ever since his first year with the O's and like all of us he's burnt out with them losing year after year. It's obvious he's not happy and it might do us some good if we could trade him for a top of the rotation starter and utility man or a big time hitter.

Yup, you almost expect that nowadays with the Orioles. Angelos has buried a once storied franchise into what it is today, a sub .500 team for that past 10 years. I love Brian Roberts just as much as the next guy but Angelos' infatuation with holding on to players boggles my mind. What have the Orioles done with Tejada and Roberts for the last 3 years? Nothing. To hear the Orioles could have had Adam Everett, Hank Blalock and Morgan Ensberg for Tejada or Marcus Giles and Adam LaRoche for Roberts and Penn just has to frustrate Oriole fans. That's a line-up loaded with young talent and could have gelled together for a long time. Oh well, you just come to accept it now and it won't change until Cal Ripken buys the team!

Well, once again the O's let a player they could have traded for slip through their fingers as the Pirates traded Mike Gonzalez to Atlanta for Laroche. I agree that Ray is a great closer but it might not have been a bad idea to trade him for Laroche, but that won't happen now. Score another screw up for the Orioles courtesy of Peter Angelos.

I wouldn't mind LaRoche at all but I don't think giving up Chris Ray would be very smart. He's proven to be a quality closer and they have made good strides to sure up that bullpen in the offseason. Baez and Ray at the tail end of a game could be lights out. I would get rid of Hayden Penn for LaRoche, straight up, nothing more. It seems like a lot of these teams are trying to fleece the Orioles when trade talks heat up. They seem to think Erik Bedard is trade bait and this is just not the case.

Hey anybody have any ideas on what else they think the Orioles should do this off-season? I know there have been talks on them trading Chris Ray or another reliever to the Braves for Adam LaRoche, which I think would be a good trade. Let me know what you think. :D
