Welterweight Thialgo Alves took the opener in 2:45 of the first round in an action-packed short fight over Derrick Noble. Alves missed a couple attempts at big spinning kicks early. Noble got a flurry of punches in and appeared to have Alves in deep trouble up against the fence, but Alves escaped and came back with an absolutely nasty right cross to the jaw that floored Noble, then after a ground-and-pound flurry the fight was stopped.

The crowd appears to be the type that is going to get impatient if the action doesn't pick up in a hurry, as opposed to the Vegas UFC crowds that are more into the subtelties of the sport.
