About Me: I have lived in different areas and am faithful to their passions, give or take. Born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana (1970-1989). Knight was a central figure. I then lived in Chile, where soccer became impressed upon me more than before. Returned to South America in 2005 with my then small family of wife and two girls.
I love American football, b-ball, baseball, and more sports...

IU Basketball is coming---Football precedes the Miracle

Saturday, August 26, 2006, 03:57 PM EST [CFB Stadiums]

IU has to play better defense in Big Ten play. Can they do it this year? They got killed in their last 6 games. I caught the one against Purdue in person.

The offense should be decent. McCray and Thigpen will run up yards, and Powers should feed his receivers for a lot of passing yards---the first half of the season. But will they score over thirty points at least once in the last six games, when they hopefully will be vying for bowl status....? Kill Purdue, Hoosiers!

Make my X-mas wish come true!

All right, about the new Sampsonite Hoosier basketballers, who have quite a schedule:

    Starters       2006-2007

DJ White 6'9" PF/C Sophomore elegibilty after a medical redshirt. Should go pro after the season.Should be a double-double man all season, barring injury. Tougher.

Roderick Wilmont 6'4 SF/SG 5th year senior, should be aggressive, score in bunches, rebound like a maniac and get hustle points. If he plays consistently up to his potential he could help this team go far. He did pretty well on the Amaker coached Down Under Big-10 Squad...

Michael White 6'6 PF/SF JC transfer junior, athletic rebounder scrapper, Kelvin's first recruit. Should be a great rebounder and offensive glass presence as well as solid on defense.

AJ Raliff 6'2" SG True junior, recovering from broken finger last year. Long arms and a shot blocker, can hit the three well as he proved his freshman year. Steals and rebounds, hopefully puts in the clutch shots that they lost with Vaden and Strickland off last year's team.

Earl Calloway 6'3" PG JC transfer senior. Played very well in the NCAA tourney last spring. Lightning quick and can push the offense. Expect high assist/TO ratio.

The Bench: Lance Stemmler, 6'7" SF JC transfer sharp shooter....Armon Bassett, 6'1" PG true frosh.... Ben Allen, C/PF 6'10 Aussie who shoots the three.... Xavier Keeling, SG/SF 6'5 Frosh from Alabama,  Joey Shaw, 6'6 RS Freshman sharpshooter from Arizona... Errek Suhr, 5'8" PG Senior former walk-on from Bloomington. Scrappy dee.

Did I forget anyone? They should be deep and good hustlers.

I know this is college football season upon us but you know us Hoosiers: ONE TRACK MIND.

Go Hoosiers. Bring the banners home.

And we might see the Cream and Crimson at the _______

Bowl. Hardy is that good. But are the linebackers? Porter is...

They lost in the second round...
