About Me: I have lived in different areas and am faithful to their passions, give or take. Born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana (1970-1989). Knight was a central figure. I then lived in Chile, where soccer became impressed upon me more than before. Returned to South America in 2005 with my then small family of wife and two girls.
I love American football, b-ball, baseball, and more sports...

Blogging from a USO? This is new...Second iteration...I pray.

Friday, March 23, 2007, 10:19 AM EST [Army]

Second iteration. Would that be a reiteration, a second attempt, or all or none of the above?

Yes, as noted in my last post comments, my last post was well on its way to posting when a young lady (MP--that is Military Police) accidentally unplugged my connection at this Cyber Cafe in this St. Louis USO, and the whole thing went into anti-cyber space.

Better than 'quasi' or 'pseudo' cyberspace, I suppose. Because then everything would be twisted in those horrific realms. I would be rooting for Utah and Purdue all the time...I shudder to think...

Shall we not splice sports passions and sci-fi? I shall presume so.

OK, so what was I saying? Yes, I would love to tell you how pithy and acerbic I was bloggerando a few minutes ago...

But things do get messed up...

IU lost. They made a great 10-0 run in the last few minutes to tie UCLA in the second round game.

Afflalo won it hitting his free throws, but I didn't really see all the defensive contact.

But what am I but a relegated 36 year-old getting dirty and drilled Hoosier homer who has a penchant for religious things?

OKay, cuzzifer, if you made it thus far:

    1.Thanks for caring, and

    2. I am sorry us Hoosiers had to get payback on the snake bitten Zags...But this is how life works. The NCAA does some things with superlative poetic justice.

So I am sorry I messed up your perfect 24, as well as leading you to think the BYU Cougars were all that. But they are, or were, actually, and just look at UNLV to know that the conference is good, not to mention Air Force with San Diego State on the side...

But a 5'7" guard getting six of eight clinching points in the last two minutes?

Maybe the suspension of Rashaun Broadus really did doom the Cougars back in January despite the wins coming faster. Broadus could defend better, and Lavender exploited slower feet...

But BYU was a quality team and pick. It never helps that the center biffs so many FTs, either.

Last thing? No a few more...

I had a good talk with my wife this morning from Dulles Int'l Airport. The alarm kept going off...

    More later...

Wow. Some guy was just calling my MEPS and I had to talk to him. It is pretty laid back...But the military is all pervasive.

I gotta go and eat. 10 minutes to eat! (Before lining up).

My group leader failed to inform me...

    Chao.

Love you honey, and radio talk later...
