With time running out on bragging about what your team will do and which of your favorite players are going to do to Kobe and since the latest Forbes list of the top 500 Kobe stoppers is not out yet let's take a look at  some of the things I would like to see happen in the NBA this eason that I can't recall having seen in my more that fivve decades of being an All Pro Fan, seen before.

I realize the man is 38 years old and nearing the end of his career but just once I'd like to see Gary Payton smile an honest smile and simply raise his hand and say "yeah I fouled the guy.".

I'd like to see the results of a three time checked by independent sources test  without knowing whose DNA they were testing, proving beyond a reasonable doubt that Sam Cassel is not in fact, an alien.

I'd like to know if anyone from child health services is checking in on Latrell Spreewells kids to make sure they're being fed since he's out of the league for turning down 7million a year because he couldn't feed his kids on that.  I worry about those kids as I'm sure most do.

I'd like to hear Phil Jackson, Larry Brown and Pat Riley say a rookie is good enough to play on HIS team.

Just once I'd like to see Magic Johnson do a sports commentary without mentioning how great he was.

I'd like to see Reggie Miller come out of the crowd and stuff Spike Lee in a jr mints box.

I'd like to see a NBA star  hold a press conference and apologize for his mother's/wife's/girlfriend's behaviour and say he'll do his best to see that it doesn't happen again.

I'd like to see Lebron James have a 30, 10, 10 game while holding a journeyman opponent on defense to his avg.  Hell I'd like to see him hold a journeyman to under a career high.

I'd like to see a national sportswriter say that Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade do so many things in the lane that are similar to what Jordan did that regardless of what their other faults may be, these two are two for the ages and worth watching under any circumstances

But most of all what I'd like to see this coming NBA season? I'd like to see fans stop blaming the refs for every loss and hating on the winners when a team has clearly played a great game in winning over your team. 70% of games are average games. 20% are good games and 10% are ones you should be just glad you got to see them.  Be a little more mature. Recognize.
