brewer fan: we should trade a pitcher (no name mentioned), geoff jenkins and a prospect (again, no name mentioned) to the yankees for A-Rod.
we need another infielder who fields as well as roger dorn like we need another oft-injured $9 million dollar pitcher.
brewer fan: i wonder what bill hall's trade value is....?
lets see here...we just traded away our best offensive player because he refused $12 million a year, and now we should even consider what the trade value of the current best offensive player is?
brewer fan: we should aggressively pursue barry zito and/or alfonso soriano in the offseason.
again, we let one guy go after low-balling him with a 4 year/$48 million dollar offer, but now we expect them to break the bank in going after soriano who is looking at 5 years/$75 million, or zito, who probably will get that, and has absolutely no desire to pitch anywhere but on the west coast. oh yeah, and we need another infielder who fields as well as roger dorn like we need another bullpen pitcher with a 5.5+ ERA.
packer fan: we should bring in charles rogers, trade for randy moss, or jerry porter, because any of those guys plus jennings, driver and favre would make our offense sick this year.
newsflash, the offense is already sick. the QB has alzheimers, the RB's have the dropsies, and the o-line has a severe collective case of icantblockshititis. and please, pleeeeeaaaasseeeee, could SOMEBODY wake up, smell the coffee and realize favre sucks, the team sucks, and we should just look forward to a time when the whole world doesnt revolve around him and his quest to set every individual QB record on the planet (including most career interceptions and fumbles).
packer fan: if the titans cut albert haynesworth, we should snatch him up, and he'd be the best defensive lineman on the roster.
this one is my own fault i guess....i actually bet that if the titans were to release him, at least a dozen people would post a "lets sign haynesworth" message. i'm really saddened by the number of packer fans who have completely sold out, and are so willing to sign guys with a history of illegal activities, substance abuse, and what i like to call "long-term criminal stupidity." one guy actually said that haynesworth has just the one issue where he kicked andrew gurode in the head....ummm, no...he's actually got SEVERAL incidents on his record, including enough while at the university of tennessee that ultimately cost him significant draft position, AND another as a pro where he kicked a teammate in practice.
i put haynesworth in the same class as maurice clarret and lawrence phillips, but those packer fans dont think he's anywhere near that bad. i bet they'd want both those guys too, if they thought they could help the team win a game or 2 this season.
packer fan: no matter how bad the record is, they should NEVER bench favre, he is an icon, and deserves to set all the QB records he can.
wonderful, and if he cant do it this year, we should keep letting him come back until he finally does, and keep pretending that he's still playing like he did in the 3 mvp seasons (even though he shouldnt have gotten it the year he and barry sanders shared the award).
packer fan: favre's interceptions werent his fault...that receiver should have caught that 120 mph fastball that was thrown above his head, from 8 yards away, and not had it go through his hands, bounce off the top of his helmet and straight up in the air....he needs to learn to catch those fast throws.
first off, that particular receiver was vernand morencey, who had just been acquired days before that game. second, the incomparable brett favre should know in his FIFTEENTH season that not every throw needs to be a rocket shot, especially when the receiver is 8 yards away, with no defender close to him.
packer fan: i think the packers can still be at least 8-8 this year, maybe 9-7 and sneak into the playoffs.
yeah, and the browns are going to win all the rest of their games, and we'll play them in the super bowl.
