Victory for Italy, 5-3 in the penalty shootout. This will mark the end of many careers on both national teams.

They will begin celebrating in Rome. Viva Italia!  A lot of blame will be put on Zidane and justifiably so. He was needed as a  leader and to take a pk.

Who has the advantage here? I say Italy. Barthez does not inspire confidence, while Buffon does. Great game to watch: goals, good defense, and controversy. What more could you ask for?

Zidane!!! What a way to end your professional career. Not the best for yourself and the way you let your team down in overtime. He has got to keep his temper. Sad to see a career end that way ... it was so blatant on camera too.
