... but I'm really excited about Yuri Zhirkov joining Chelsea. At 26 he's at the height of his career and should be ideal for the premiership. Chelsea have been bereft of talent on the wings (Joe Cole is not a wide player even if fit). Bosingwa was a massive disappointment for me. If he plays to his best form Zhirkov could be the difference maker this upcoming season. He seems to be a combo of skill and speed player. Bobby, have you been following him?

BTW, Bobby sometimes you have 150 comments on a page If you can only display 5 per page and can only delete not edit comments, it's going to be a pain. I note that whenever you make a post it throws you back to the beginning... poor software choice by Fox

On matters football... back when Man City bought Wayne Bridge, I posted here that I found it mind-boggling that they didn't include Sturridge as part of a swap deal. Since then then gloss might may have worn off him a little (on and off the pitch) and they shelled out lots of $$$. Having said that he probably still has tons of potential. I'm really pleased they got this done if belatedly.
