Ok so the trash talking has already begun around the NFL between the fans.  Many fans are excited the way their respective team has played so far in preseason.  Some teams are undefeated, some have not won yet, and some have just looked plain awful.  Well, it does NOT matter, and I will tell you why in a minute.  But the best thing to keep in mind is that these games do not matter.

If you don't know what I mean let me explain.  When looking at any results from a preseason game.......Forget about it.  They don't matter.  They are glorified scrimmages designed to make money, evaluate talent, and to give young players game experience, that is it.

The best way to prove this is fantasy football.  How would your fantasy football team be doing right now with your star players only playing a series in a game or maybe a half a game and that is it?  Well that is how your favorite NFL team would be doing to.  You won't really know until they play an entire game which is week one.  This does not even include the fact that most teams don't even show 90% of their plays in preseason, and why would they?

So this weekend when your favorite players and teams take the field take solace in the fact that this means nothing and they really just need to stay healthy.  Also look at who the players may be playing against (1st, 2nd, or 3rd string) and when.
