Yes I know he's no Manning or Brady, so settle down.
I had to listen to everyone and their bullcrap, last year, (so-called Steeler fans and others), about how Ben was no good.....that he got lucky when they went to the Super Bowl......that backup Charlie Batch was better than Ben......blah......blah.......blah
The guy is the best passer outside the pocket and is becoming a even better runner than he used to be. If you saw his 30 yard TD run against Cleveland than you know what I mean. I'm just asking for a little credit. I think last year was a fluke for Big Ben.

you are right big ben is the man he always will be if the steelers passed as much as the pats or the colts.i know he would be better then brady or manning!so lets stop fooling each other if only he could throw the ball away and stop takeing the sacks he takes.throw the ball out of bounds big ben will be unstopable!

Don't shortchange Ben. He has kept the reputation from his rookie year, when he just mananged the offense. What a lot of people don't realize is that Ben got the Steelers to the Super Bowl on his arm. Granted he played poorly in that game, but they don't get close without him. He outplayed Payton Manning in that playoff game in every facet a QB can. Throw out 2006 after all that guy had went through. He is back, and his talent is big league. He deserves to be named with Brady and Manning.
Ahhh, BIG BEN. Now that fits!! His off season training helped. Needs to continue to work out & condition himself to maintain the ability to shuck off defenders. Iffen they don't hit him around the legs, he isn't going down!! But... his line needs to offer up just a little more protection (not much mind you, just a little more0. But, he is like the Timex, takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I know Brady is good, but doubt he could take some of the heat Ben has gotten. Manning.... just doesn't like to do what Ben does. Ya at home they beat mighty Cleveland at the last moment....steeler fans need to wait a couple of weeks to get to excited......I'm not saying you won't I just don't think you can pin it on your last game......good luck against the Pats...really would like to see them go down. It would give every playoff team a little more hope. Unlike their hyped games with the Boys and Colts, but I guess really the Colts could have won.....stop rambling now.......
I agree Big Ben is the best QB the Steelers have had since TB. He may in fact be the best ever. I knew last year was a fluke. Also Charlie Batch should have played last year. But all is right with the world now(except for what Brady is doing) and Ben is back to his old self.
Big Ben is a monster! What we saw last Sunday was #7 imposing his will on that game. He put the Steelers on his back and took them to victory. Last year was an aberration. The 2007 version of Roethlisberger is older, wiser, stronger and now has seen the game from several perspectives and can appreciate what it takes to get to the post season and the ultimate goal. I believe Big Ben became more than a good QB last weekend... he became a real leader on the field. Here we go Steelers here we go!
