Liking the pale hose behind Contreras against a Det team that doesn't seem to have much pitching at the moment...the Cubbies are worth a look at home against a Chipper -less Braves team...
Liking the Mariners ML tonight behind Silva against the Tigers and a still struggling Verlander..although he has gotten a little better last couple of starts...Red hot Cubbies RL are worth a look as an alternate at Houston.
Nice choke by the Cardinals last night...<eyeroll>...oh well...liking the Red Sox RL tonight against Detroit behind Beckett....Florida RL is a good alternate vs a struggling Brewers side..
YAAAAAAY!!! I actually got a win last night...LOL...now to dig myself out of this hole...liking the Red Sox tonight behind Wakefild against a struggling Nate Robinson and an equally struggling Tigers squad....a red hot St Louis team is a good alternate against Colorado...
Mariners RL looks good at home tonight vs the Orioles behind Felix Hernandez...Texas ML is worth a flier because Verlander has yet to show a pulse this year....
Ok, the record show i am not betting on the Detroit Tigers anymore until the team at least shows ,a pulse....maybe Leyland is going to have to have one of his early season clubhouse tantrums to wake these guys up again....
Anyway....onwards and upwards...since I cannot go a whole lot lower....lol..
I love the Brewers at home today against the sad sack Giants...if the price is too rich for you...Washington over St Louis is the best alternate...
Ok, so tell me the Tigers are going to get swept at home opening week of the season by the ROYALS of all teams?....didn't think so either....this team has to wake up sometine and today is the day...The Philles will also bring Washington back to earth as well for those who have had enough of Detroit for now....
Ok, this is getting ridiculous....If i was the paranoid type I would starting to think that someone was really out to get me....three perfectly solid picks all blow up in my face....yeesh...oh well...
As for today's action...I look for the Tigers to rebound in a big way vs the Royals with Atlanta rolling over Pittsburgh as the best alternate...
Well...the perfect season is still in tact....<eyeroll>....surely I can't go 0-162 can I?
Yesterday's Recap...
Am i allowed to plead Manager Insanity on my Tigers pick?....Why Leyland sent Verlander out for the seventh after he was clearly losing in the sixth (not exactly a surprise on opening day), will go down as one of life's great mysteries....yes the Tigers pen is weaker than last year but they only gave up 1 run of their own doing over 5 innings, hardly anything to complain about given Detroit's supposedly vaunted offence...the Tigers appeared to be very over anxious at the plate, not surprising on opening day fro a team with such high expectations...and still they were able to put 3 runs on the board...a positive sign despite the loss...
Today's Pick:
You have to love the Mets to make it two straight over the Marlins tonight with Pedro on the mound...the Marlins had nothing for Santana last night and don't figure to fare much better vs Pedro...who has looked sharp this spring...
If the price on the Mets is too rich for you....the Padres are a solid alternate play at home vs Texas...
