JayJayDean Takes the Fathers Day Trifecta.
Jun 19, 2007 | 8:03PM | report this

JayJayDean not only won the Fathers Day trifecta but put a whoopin’ on us all with a microscopic score.  Infact, the score that photogr (2nd) ended up with would have won (or tied) any of the previous weeks, but JJ ended up the winner, with the largest margin of victory to boot.

This is JayJay’s second win and he is the first player to win more than once.  He did it by staying in touch with the leaders through the first 2 rounds and going for the jugular in the final race of the weekend.  He also set the bar in picking the highest ever finishing position in a Cup race (Tony Stewart finishing 3rd).  Obviously he has been doing his homework, studying all the stats, and pulling out the stops when the time is right.  You can check out his work on his blog  “JJD’s NASCAR bolg and other stuff” for your own insight as to who to pick in the NASCAR series’.

Your final results are

JayJayDean----------------------15

photogr---------------------------20

Dave_in_Indy-------------------33

williamwilman-----------------54

Tezgm99------------------------56

volfan69-------------------------57

14Falcons------------------------70

Your updated over all percentages look like this

 JayJayDean-------------------%24.24

photogr------------------------%26.96

14Falcons---------------------%38.02

Dave_in_Indy----------------%38.64

Tezgm99----------------------%41.55

williamwilman---------------%49.02

volfan69-----------------------%56.93

Nicely done JJ, and look at that percentage.  I guess that means you’ll be taken Gordon this weekend if he’s not busy becoming a father.  It’s in the numbers.  I was also thinking of taking the percentages over a set number of events.  That way you could better your numbers a little easier by having bad runs eventually drop off you record.  Any ideas on how many races it should span?

This week the IRL series is coming to Iowa, where I believe we have a couple of contestants living so look for that to be on the card as well as a possible twist on the Cup race.  I hope to post it around 10:00pm Thrusday evening.   I hope to put the trucks on too so check in before Friday night.

*you* need a win, what about poor volfan?!

Uh, is anyone else nervous about what this 'possible twist' is?

this is obviously the same cheat sheet that told you to pick Jimmie for Dover and Pocono....so it's got a real good track record, photo! *nods encouragingly*

will,

I would prefer the Busch race at the Millwaukee Mile over the Truck race. It's just a higher profile race IMHO.

I plan to go to Newton for the IRL race.

*gasps* I KNOW WHAT HE'LL DO! Righto, I'll get in real early and say Rick Kelly will win the V8 Supercar round in Aussie this weekend :P

Cool, Falcons....say "Kia Ora" to Scott for me while you're there, lol

It's Maori (NZ native language) for "welcome"

Do I *really* come across as the kind of person who would write something meaning a swear word or something?

Falcons, xbul, photo, will, JJD....and the rest; YES!

Thanks for the vote in confidence....means a lot to me, lol :P

I just got rewarded for not panicking when I saw Tony's spot on the grid at Michigan, I think.

Friday, Saturday, Sunday would be fun if you wanted to do all NASCAR. Either way is cool.

yup, Mr Dixon would most likely be the only one out there who knows what you'd be saying....well, except maybe for his Dad if he goes to the race I guess.

i forgot to add one thing to my wrap up. Dave, Tez, volfan, falco and will would have done better if we had taken micheal waltrip for the cup race. get your head around that folks.

Well, thanks William. May I come visit you and let you rub salt in the wound? Anyway, I know that I am going to select Robby Gordon for Sonoma--I think Jeff's mind will be on the precious new baby girl. Are the rumors getting to you that Kyle will be teammates with Kurt? That is spreading like wildfire in TN. Oh, I'll select Robby unless someone gets him first. Really, I should select people I don't want to win since I am so sorry at this. I do know that I love being able to do this and I appreciate all who enter.

William, as much as I enjoy and appreciate this, I am out this weekend. My best friend's father, she has been my best friend for many years, is passing away from colon cancer. I'll be with her the rest of this weekend and next week. So, please put me at the bottom. I feel like I am there anyway. I hope to correspond with all of you next weekend. Hugs to all of you and I wish you the best in your choices. (I know that this isn't important, but it sure is a diversion and fun. Our trifecta makes the hard parts of life easier.) God bless you all.
