Final
Jul 10, 2006 | 11:47AM | report this
Well I have changed my mind about Italia. Guess what I did for the final; I went to an hour early to a packed Italian Restaurant in the heart of London. I wasn't sure about who to cheer for but after a few minutes I went all out for Italy. It was a magnificent game (but what about Zidane OMG!) and I was celebrating in the streets after the win (with many, many others). I am glad to finish out my picks 2-0 and VIVA ITALIA!

Semis and Picks

I watched both games (of course).

France 1- Portugal 0: France is on a roll right now.

Italy 2- Germany 0: Both games could be great (or not).

Power Rankings:

1. France: Could beat Spain, Brazil, Portugal and Italy after tieing the Swiss (lol!).

2. Italy: Could they actually win?

3. Germany: Just couldn't finish it.

4. Portugal: They get their penalty kick just desserts.

Portugal vs. Germany: Germany closes out strong in a 2-1 win.

Italy vs. France: Italy wins #4 with a 1-1 regulation and then 4-3 in penalties (also, they have yet to allow a goal; own goals not withstanding).

Quarters #2

Wow, what a day! (I watched both games).

Engalnd 0-Portugal 0: Coming from an Engalnd fan you might be surprised I wont blame the refs, but I think that had Beckham or Rooney stayed on (and they still played with 10 men) they would have won. Also, you need to finish Ingerland!

France 1-Brazil 0: At least I got a team to cheer for for the rest of the cup. People may downplay it but this was a monumental upset, and what happened to Ronaldinho this tournament.

Last Week: 3-5 (Ouch !)

Total: 29-11-15 (W-L-T)

Germany vs. Argentina: Germnay fans start to dream after their 2-1 win over Argentina.

Italy vs. Ukraine: Italy gets their just desserts in a 1-0 loss.

England vs. Portugal: England wins 1-0 because of the suspended Portugese.

Brazil vs. France: France takes the lead early but Brazil comes back to win 2-1.

That means I think the semis will be:

Brazil: They just keep getting better and better.

Germany: On a roll right now.

Argentina: Had a HUGE scare against the Mexicans.

Portugal: Has a great chance to beat England.

England: Has a great chance to beat Portugal:

France: Wow! What a win!

Italy: Doesn't deserve to be here.

Ukraine: By far the least talented team right now.

Sorry this was posted so late (I had computer troubles). I watched parts of both games today.

Brazil 3-Ghana 0: Brazil seems to be heatin up as the tournament goes on.

France 3-Spain 1: Dont think they are good enough to beat Brazil but they could definitely give them a scare.

Swiss-Ukraine

First of all, I agree with what everyone said about my final sentence. It is something I read and looking back on it I agree that it has no revelance. And it has been removed from my previous post.

Anyways, for the casual football fan this game might have seemed boring, but to us diehards it was fantastic, but finally the Swiss seriously need to work on those pks
