Why not the Champs? They have won their Super Bowls in pairs thus far: IX, X; and then XIII, XIV. So why not cheer them on to win back-to-back (XL, XLI) again? The tools, the coaches, etc. are for the most part back so it should be a fun ride.

no offense, but i could care less if you support my team. if you want to support a team, it should be because YOU want to, not because someone convinced you to, that's kind of like bandwagon jumping if you ask me.

i have an idea that by midseason, you'll decide on your own who to root for, based on their record, personnel, or some record (individual or team) they are on pace to tie or break.

Beast: You really need to be a homer this year. What with the threat of the Madden curse, the Super Bowl curse and the Campbell's Chunky Soup curse, the guys need all of the support they can get, especially after losing the first preseason game. I know that they want to make it to Miami this year and, if they are hungry enough, there is no reason they shouldn't make it. Here's to Shaun making 30 touchdowns and 2,000 yards this year, even without Hutch.

I root for many teams depending on who is playing in the game I am watching. I am an avid Buc's fan but I like the seahawks as well. I think it is better to give some advice on who not to root for. For me the bottom three and the only three teams I will not root for are 1. S.F. 49ers 2. Dallas COwboys ans last and least 3. Oakland Raiders. Just my opinion but I believe that is what you are asking for. As far as teams I think need more fans I would say maybe the Texans or the Bengals.

Beast, I got two things to say for you, if you like football and you dont have a team, then it means ur just a football fan. Next, if you play fantasy football, root for your team.

Because I pay taxes, feed many mouthes, and I am a tithe payer as well...

And things are more fun when they are contending.

BYU Cougars, IU Hoosiers, ....and some baseball teams...

My daughter has a friend in her kindergarten class (at Legacy) that is living in an apt with no furniture. I was searching craigslist in the Ashburn area, where we live, in hopes of finding furniture for them. I know when we buy new furniture we just want to get the old furniture out. If you don’t sell your furniture in the time you want, maybe you would consider donating them to this family. I’ll use my mini van and pick it up and deliver it to the family. You can reach me a

Thank you,
Jennifer

Pre-game Mike HartCentral Florida has the NCAA's rushing leader, Kevin Smith. Smith has rushed for 2,448 yards this season, and he needs 181 yards to be officially recognized as the NCAA's single season record holder. Barry Sanders currently owns the record, with 2,628 yards in 1988 when he was at Oklahoma State. That was back when the NCAA did not count bowl games as part of the total stats for a season. So Sanders accumulated that yardage in just 11 games. If you added Sanders' yardage from the Holiday Bowl that year (222), he would have 2,850 yards in 12 games. Would it be right to call Smith the record-holder since he will have played in 14 games? I don't think so.

I would advise you to watch as many teams as possible. The NFL Network has replays of some of last season's games. What style of play do you like? Do you like good stout defense and pound it out on the ground? Do you like teams with a flair for the dramatic on offense and maybe be not as strong on defense? Do you like good special teams play? There are a number of factors to consider in choosing a team.

As for me, I've always liked teams that are built on a strong ground game and stout defenses. I started liking the Rams in the 1970's and was a Rams fan until they moved from L.A. to St. Louis. Then when the Carolina Panthers came into the league in 1995, I've liked them ever since. They have been built (historically) on a strong ground game and stout defense.
