Who is your favorite running back in nfl?
May 15, 2008 | 3:29PM | report this

Emmitt Smith greatest player ever played, include barry sanders of great lions.

right now carolina has williams & rookie player.i once like deshaun foster but they trade him and sometime he fumble the ball in big games that we need to win.we can have our player fumble the ball all the time. There so many good running back like reggie bush still need power strenght be good in next five years that my opinion.

Being a fan of the Steelers, I'd say Franco. But, if I were to have any 3 backs ever, I would have to go in this order:

1. Emmitt Smith
2. Barry Sanders
3. Jerome Bettis

Now, that would be sweet!

Take care, warriorofgodson! I liek posts like these, they really make ya think!

See ya!

Is this an all-time NFL question or currently?

My 3 RBs are Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith, and Fred Taylor. All three have similar running styles, power and speed. Run you over and outrun you! Great combination. I only put Walter Payton ahead of Emmitt Smith because he NEVER seemed to get hurt...if so, he played through his injuries. Emmitt speaks for himself and Taylor never gets the credit he deserves because of injuries and he plays in Jax.

I say Barry Sanders did the most with the least.
Want a broken ankle? Try to catch Barry. He was amazing for the fans to watch. Lions games weren't a joke to watch because he could bust one at any time.

Barry walked away on his own terms(with the bonus money, ha!) and that impresses me more than Emmitt, who stayed too long and fizzled out in Phoenix.

None of the dudes mentioned are bumbs.

My all-time favorite is Barry but Emmitt was great also.

In todays game have to go with my home team and say Deuce McAllister. Great power back and he has great character as well. Just an all around good guy to know.
