Yes, Kobe Bryant and Ron Artest tested other carreer too.
Aren't you glad both had stick with basketball where thier real talent lies?
The NASCAR news:
Steroid use and other performance-enhancing drugs have never really been believed to be a problem in NASCAR. Drivers, owners and other officials liked to boast and the NASCAR is the cleanest sport of them all.
The NASCAR toughened its drug policy and do random tests in 2009 on everyone in the three national series - from star Chase drivers to anonymous tire changers.
The NASCAR industry feels that's the right thing to do.
Why Aaron Fike admitted to ESPN Magazine that he had used heroin - even on days he raced?
Boston beat the Los Angeles Lakers in six games in June to win its first championship in 22 years, will visit the White House to celebrate their 17th NBA championship with President Bush.
Let me explain something Kids. "Patroitism" is something subjective. People who don't like what other people say or do that really doesn't hurt anyone like robing someone does, say that person is unpatrotic. It's a way of justifying racism, sexism, hate of all kinds.
Josh Howard is a poorly educated man who doesn't understand bad manners. Just because he has a lot of money doesn't mean he has a lot of intelligence.
But after reading these blogs, I hope you understand that having money has nothing to do with having bad manners. We saw an awful lot of people on this blog have bad manners about what he said and a lot of racism. It's really sad when you think about it. Grownups acting that badly.

Some people think, Josh Howard is a disgrace to all Americans especially to all Great men and women who have died and bled for the freedom of this country. The National Anthem and flag are reminders of their sacrifice ....

Thanks...LOL I guess "When he do good, he feel bad. When he do bad, he feel good. And that maybe is some people's state of mind." I uses state of mind for my own good YKWIM? right?
You are so right... if he had a proper education or guidance, he probably would not say what he said.
Miss ND, Do you think He will Soon or later get a huge backlash against him in the NBA and endorcements?

I don't think Josh Howard had many endorsements to start with so he probably won't lose many of them but he probably will get boo'd a few times around the league in other arena's. His contract has made him rich and something I have noticed about people who were poor and who get what they think is a lot of money all of a sudden, they usually act stupid and really don't care what others think. REAL rich people don't act stupid because they understand it costs them money and even though they don't care about anyone else they pretend they do. Really rich people are usually either real smart or really well educated or both. Pro sports millionaires are usually not well educated nor are they very smart since they spend their whole lives not doing much besides playing their sport.
I like some sports obviously and I take the players for what they are. Athletes. Some wise up like Kobe has done, some never do.

Well, look at it this way. Just as Howard has the right to say what he wants, so do we. Just as he can express his view of things, so can people express their view of him.
When he makes comments in public, he leaves himself open to public critisism. In short, if you are a public figure, and you are going to make controversial comments, then be prepared to take the critism or keep your mouth shut.
For the ease of understanding of most of our citizens, you can say individuals have complete freedom of speech, but, in reality, there are both legal and practical restrictions on speech, some with immediate consequences.
