I read this line of comments from every where so many times and I hope that he really is what it said and not only before the $80 million over five years contract. We all known he is the Lakers owner's son & Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak "GOLDEN BOY". This time, I hope that Kobe will keep his mouth you know what or keep his opinion to himself.
"All opposing big men in the NBA better watch out, With Bynum 100 percent healthy , the Lakers will have strong defense and strong finishers that will give a great season for the organization".
Wait a minute guys before you ask if I even watch andrew played basketball, (keep in mind I am a faithful Kobe and lakers fan) Please answer this questions:
1. Would Andrew Bynum would have made the difference in last year playoff?
2. Because he is working with one of the best centers of all time, Is he really the only one force at center nowadays?
3. Other than Andrew Bynum, Are all the LAKERS players really soft ?
4. Does he has enough confidence on himself with out Kobe Bryant playing hurt to pull through the season ?
or Has he become too confident.. with everyone feeding him #### about being the one missing piece from the NBA Championship?
Will he be ready to handle big time buckets against big time players come playoff time?
I.e Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnet(possibly in the NBA Finals again), Carlos Boozer, Yao Ming, Amare Stoudimer?
Its easy to play good in the regular season.. but this kid hasnt seen the money season yet.
Is he ready to handle the responsibility of being the #3 scoring option and the only Laker Legit Big Man for the entire season plus the playoffs?( Pau Gasol plays soft)

Confidence in his ability I don't think will be the question here. It'll be more whether or not he can regain the composure and presence first shown. He's good a player who may well turn out to be great . But we can only judge that over the test of time.
We hope that he has the ability to handle all the big time players and not too confident with all the media hype.. Go Andrew!!!
Craig990 thanks for the visit and comment, your support is always appreciated by all of us.
I am crossing my fingers that he can handle the responsibility for being both the #3 scoring option and the Laker Big Man for the entire season and the playoffs
justanotherfan I think the ability of Kobe to lead to titles with Odom's double double's capabilities and Kareem's greatest scoring of all time experienced will helps ABynum mind to excellence.
don't you think so?

Bryant has gained undeniable leadership qualities. But the trouble I have with the team is the softness of Gasol and Odom.
They rarely show the guts that they've got what it takes to play hard. And until they can show that on a consistent basis then I'll still question the resilience of the team.
I don't even feel that they ought to be the presumptive favorites in the West.
They've still got to deal with the likes of the Suns, Mavericks and Spurs. And now you've got a more than capable Blazers' team that'll test the resolve of a number of teams in the conference.
In my heart along with most all Lakers fans hearts, they are the presumptive favorites to dominate to square off the whole season, play off, and into the final championship.
Mr.justan, I know this is too much to asks for, but I pray and hope that they can face any enormous obstacle challenges that opponents give them and in return, they can give thier fans expectations or make us feel that they simply just want to win every game a little bit more thant thier opponents.

Unconditional support and optimism is all that can be asked from an ardent and voiciferous fan.
They are good enough to win it all but they've got to improve their roster vastly. Odom is far too inconsistent and Gasol has to get far more physical, intimidating and dominant. If not then they won't fare well as a team. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see some of the glaring flaws in this team.
your Rockets should be on top this year because you have my kobe's friend in your team. The Rockets have the Medeum three not the big thre because Celtics has that, but with Tmac, Artest, and yao? they are the West contender...LOL
No matter...I am going to put the Lakers to be a winner in my heart.... :)

Faith to an extent plays some part but it all comes down to the players on the court and how they acquit themselves.
However some of the teams that've lost their opening games today in the NFL must've been praying for divine intervention.
In particularly the Seahawks and Rams. How bad are those teams at present ?
T-Mac.. arguably.. the 2nd or 3rd best S.G behind Kobe and Wade
Yao.. arguably the best center in the NBA
Artest... Grade A defender!
I look at it like this!
Rockets will win because of their defense!
We have a good team.. a good group of proven guys.. like the Celtics had..
Shane Battier can be the James Posey off the bench.
Brent Barry is a vet that can shoot and play the point if needed.. kind of like eddie house was for the Celtics!
Ya0-Garnet
T-Mac-Pierce
Artest(defense) Ray allen(offense)
Perkins-Mutumbo
Rondo-Alston
Luther Head is going to be a big help this year!
Rockets have a great chance to win the Chip!
watch and see!
Mr. Justin, It was very dissapointing performanced by my team today...
The Rams, 3-13 last season, were downright awful again.
Marc Bulger didn't have much time to throw and Steven Jackson hardly had any room to run against Philadelphia's stifling defense. St. Louis had 109 total yards through three quarters.
(:

Another disappointing season and the Rams'll have to be completely revamped as a team with Jackson being there to lead the offense.
As to your Lakers they're still in lead of another scorer. If Odom and Gasol can't be consistent then it all can't rest on the shoulders of Bryant. And I think that even the most knowledgeable fans of the game can realize this.

The Lakers are a good enough team to win it all. But what they need is consistency from two players in particular. As alluded to before it Gasol and Odom. That being said they took care of my beloved Spurs with some ease.
But it's now down to Kupchak and Jackson as to the inherent needs of this team.
