Too bad many of the calls looked to be correct. No way there should have been a flagrant on that contact, there's no hand-check shown, Varajao jumps straight up so any foul would have been offensive, great (incredible!) layup off the glass high enough so V can't block it, but no contact, and James clearly passes before his feet come down on the "traveling request".
That being said, the "steal/technical on Kobe" was total BS, no tech on Gooden shows bias, and the 2 home team favoring no-calls at the end were obvious.

And the only writers that call Kobe selfish and arrogant are the bottom feeding "sports writers" or the meglomaniac writers that still wear their Air Jordans and have their copies of Space Jam and "Come Fly With Me" in their VCRs. The ones that give prejudice opinion on Bryants greatness because of the pedestoole they have Jordan on. Those ones that negate and ignore Jordans bone head decisions yet hold Bryant under a Microscope.
Only the greatest are ridiculed. Only the greatest will live with the curse of being blasted for their mistakes and their transcendence forgotten with a bad game.
The same way they did to Jordan and Wilt before him.
When you are on that highest level that only he is at from this generation. The only story they can write is your faults or "lack of" as a fault.
I have yet to see a Kobe Bryant interview in which he wasnt polite, well spoken, and humble.
But since this is an internet generation, rumors and slander spread like wild fire. But you always have to consider the sources, the numb nuts that spewge this ignorance.
But that is to be expected when you are the greatest at your profession.
You know the guys like John Hollinger. He loses credibility like every hair on that bald head with his predictions that a chimp with popsicle sticks have been more accurate on.
We all know how great Kobe is and that the Lakers won that game in Cleveland. And we all know that some NBA games are manipulated and fabricated.
Put these two things together and what you get is David Stern making sure that Lebron gets his share of success against the Lakers so that new stories about an actual Lebron-Kobe rivalry can surface, instill fan interest, and revive the NBA. After all, Kobe had already won three titles so he shouldn't complain. Lebron should be thankful that he's receiving all the help he gets.
