August 24, 2008: "GOLDMEDAL for USA Team "

Some of you might say, “it’s wishful thinking in my part" and I hope that the team will bring back the DREAM TEAM and win the OLYMPIC GOLD.

Before Bryant, USABasketball Men's World Championship Team were: Anthony; Battier; Bosh; Brand; Hinrich; Howard; James; Jamison; Johnson; Brad Miller; Paul; and Wade.

Following a disappointing 5-3 finish and bronze medal showing at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, USA Basketball in 2005 setoff in a totally new direction with its men’s senior national team.

USA FIBA Americas Championship Team were: Anthony; Billups; Bryant; Chandler; Howard; James; Kidd; Mike Miller; Prince; Redd; Stoudemire; and Williams.

In winning its 10 games in just 12 days, the USA defeated its 10 opponents by an average of 39.5 ppg., the largest margin by a senior squad since the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team defeated its opponents by 43.8 ppg and  finished 10-0 to win gold .

USA Basketball’s Men’s Senior National Team currently consists of 33 players:

Carmelo Anthony (Denver Nuggets)

Gilbert Arenas (Washington Wizards)

 Shane Battier (Houston Rockets)

as team leadr in apple turnovers category juist like last year's team US and A.

than ivryone will have to expect that KOBE!! h;;as surpassed Michael Jordan's.

It'll be interesting to see how this team fares in the upcoming Olympic tournament.
With the NBA Finals being so lackluster it can be said that the NBA is really in need of something more dynamic and exhilerating to happen.

'cause with the inexplicable poor play of the Lakers through much of the Finals. It can be said that watching the Finals was absolutely painful. The Lakers offered very little in the way of resistance or competitiveness.

i no mikers. KOBE!!s can't pass to hisself AND shoot. HE can onlys BE as best HE can BE. if he muzt pass then lastink odumbs must do mo betta. if i ever see that no hart having lamar i will slash his achilles with a bowie knife so we's can trade him for dwight howard.

lamar odom became the first player ever to lead an NBA finals team to both the biggest upset in NBA finals history, and the biggetst BLOWOUT in a deciding NBA finals game, and BLOWING the biggest lead in a finals gamessss.

odom has no killer instinct and/or clutchness. i meens what do expect KOBE!! to guard everyone and be THE PLAYMAKER on offense?

i compare odumb's game to waking up in a puddle of your own urine.

KOBE!! will set the tone defensivly for team US and A.

GO KOBE!!

The USA Team should be:
PG - Jason Kidd
SG - Kobe Bryant
SF - Lebron James
PF - Carmelo Anthony
C - Dwight Howard
6 - Chris Paul
7 - Amare Stoudemire
8 - Dwyane Wade
9 - Chris Bosh
10 - Deron Williams
11 - Michael Redd
12 - Lamar Odom (on the USA team he will be the only non-allstar so he will have no pressure and I think he will do good against international players.)

doobershorty,

NO-NO-NO to lamar odumb!!

THE ONLY THING HE HAS PROVEN IN HIS LAKER CAREER IS THAT HE IS NOT CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER TALENT.

KOBE!! deserves to play with championship caliber talent ONLY!! when he leads this team Us and A to the gold medals...

Mr. Sizzel thanks for boosting my lil sis EGO...

I really hope her team will get the gold.

My sis is playing soccer for three years now and it seem like this year is the year for them because she has the same team mates from last season. Next season it will be different because only three of them who are still 12 and the rest are 14.

All of us boys got knock out this morning, she has one more game @ 5 and that is 45 minutes from now.

thank you again Mr. Sizzel..LOL

I have grave concerns about the Americans’ chances in the Olympics. First of all, while the European style of basketball may not win a NBA championship, the Euro style is the brand of basketball the world plays. Can our physically branded play work in these games? (Remember Tim Duncan spent more time on the bench with foul trouble than in games during the last Olympiad.) Additionally, with the world’s negative opinion of America and because the games are in China, are we sure the Americans’ only opponents will be wearing basketball jerseys?
The deck is stacked, and the only way I see the USA recapturing gold is through rebounding and shooting. If they cannot make intermediate jump shots, this will be another disappointing Olympics for USA Basketball.

There's nothing to be concerns about, the Americans’ has a great Starters & Bench players.

The USA team are pretty well coached to handle the job. Plus with Melo & Bron taking care the scoring, Kobe is adopting the defense real well. May I add DHoward @ center, Kidd or DWilliams @ point guard, what else can you asks for the team?

But play well for the GOLD.
