Wow, you need to get out more. If you just look at his numbers, he's not on pace to run for a ton of yards, but he is on pace for 34 TDs. Sounds like a chance at another MVP. This was also a game you said he sucked in and it was against the best D in the league. I guess he must have to put up 300 yards and 5 TDs to impress you. Remember this isn't Madden. Every game can't be 200+ yards and 3 TDs.
Your way off base here. I'm a Pats fan but I think LT has a huge game this week He has OWNED the Pats the last 4 games averaging 137yds a game and scoring 7 tds. last week was an abberation against a great defense stacked to stop him. LT is still far and away the best back in the league.
C'mon, ultimate, you've got to do better than this. He had one subpar game against a superior defense. Your other argument is "Usually guys coming off a monster season cool off for a season or two." He's had six consecutive seasons that could qualify as "monster." He's the consensus pick for best running back in the league. He's on pace to shatter many all-time records, and he's as hungry as he's ever been. He's got a solid offense around him, and an offense-minded coach. Will he lead the league in rushing? Who knows. Will he approach his touchdown & rushing totals from last year? Maybe not. However, to say that you think he will not have a very good season based on your scant "evidence" seems ludicrous.
You also said, "He'll still put up fairly good numbers." That's awfully vague; what's your definition of "fairly good numbers?" A mediocre season by LT would be a career year for most backs.
