Suns fans get what they deserve
Apr 29, 2008 | 11:24PM | report this

Not so much a coherent blog as this is a rant: How you like 'dem apples Suns fans?! Been waiting for a whole year after your constant bickering about getting cheated and #### by David Stern and the NBA conspiracies.

Amare Stoudamire and Boris Diaw played in every game. Shaq did an excellent job on Duncan in the low post. And Shawn Marion met his exact averages for every playoff game he's ever played against the Spurs [what's that you say, he was with the Heat? well it was hard to tell when he was on the floor while he was with the Suns during these series].

So now I'm wondering what excuses are going to get rolled out this year? The hack-a-Shaq a dirty move by a dirty team? Floppers? Foul Trouble? Spurs cheating? Or will you follow D'Antoni's lead and sneak in Tony Parker's little push offs?

It's going to be a fun offseason, regardless of what happens in the upcoming season. Why, because we don't have to watch overrate Amare Stoudamire and the horrible Suns fans complain at every opportunity--Except for the occasional drop in to mention how boring the playoffs are and how impossible the Spurs are to watch...I can live with that.

Well, well, well Phoenix Suns fans...I can't wait to hear what the reason will be now why you lost to the Spurs again. Talent only gets you soo far. The Spurs are the smarter and better team. The best team always wins a seven game series, or in this case five game series. You choked again in the playoffs as we all expected. If you want to get over the hump, why don't you start playing some D. Pop obviously outcoached D'Antoni and to me that was as huge as anything in decideing this series. I truely believe the Quak trade was an ignorant move. When I would hear the Phoenix Suns I would see Marion and Nash as the faces. He symbolizes the Suns(or did). The Suns were a better team with Marion, but teams are always trying to make moves to better themselves and I can't blame them for that. Some teams just make ignorant moves like Phoenix and the Mavs. You can't blame them for trying to figure out how to beat the Spurs. They are the defending champs for a reason. I have to admit, I am going to miss hearing and reading about Suns crying and complaining. I just love it because the Spurs just play and they WIN! Like Duncan says, "we'll do our talking on the floor." Happy Fishing Suns!!

This time there are only a few remarks to be made. Mr. Stern can't be blamed this time and trading for Shaq waa a complete disaster. Trading Marion was a mistake along with Eddie House,Tim Thomas and the Thomas that plays for the Spurs. Nash was given two MVP trophys and they can't get past the first round. He should have stayed with Dirk in Dallas. That's 3 MVP trophys that are first round Bust.

congrats to the spurs and their fans.

the spurs handling the suns in 08, has absolutly nothing to do with the debacle that was last years WC semi finals.

as a spurs fan, you shouldn't even bring it up, you should bury it deep with the rest of david stern's dirty little secrets.

SUNS fans have disappeared from the face of the earth.

The only Suns fans who can come here and admit their team's defeat are the only Suns fans who have heart.

The rest of them are simply trashtalkers and fake fans who are probably Diamondback fans who's probably never bounced a basketball their entire lives. We all know Phoenix is a baseball town anyway. It's funny what I'm thinking right now...

Steve Nash - fake MVP. Suns fans - fake fans. Ok, Ok forgive me... I don't want to trash talk any further. I think the people in AZ have had enough.

But of course, there's only a handful of those fans who are real fans.

Man up, Phoenix fans, and face the fire.

Debate with us. Argue with us Lakers fans. Tell us how you really feel about your team and its weaknesses.

Tell us what they're saying out there in the desert.

But most of all, don't make excuses. Do you have the heart?

I'm no Suns fan but I think I can speak for them. First of all, Kerr should be kicking himself for trading Marion. (should have found a way to get Artest) They definitely got outcoached...they GAVE away 2 games in the series. Diaw is NOT a go to man for scoring, yeah, at times he had a matchup advantage but he's not consistent enough to rely on. Nash played very mediocre, definitely not the MVP all of you voted for a couple of years...Shaq and Hill should both retire...damn I can go on and on so I'll just stop.

UBLANJ,
I hope you are not a spurs fan. 1st stop being a ####. We won but there was a lot of crappy calls. I would be pissed too if i was a suns fan. Last year was bs we will never know what the outcome would have been. This year whats up with the lane violations? Oh well we would have won either way, but i can see what they are saying. The spurs do flop and complain alot!!! I liked them better in the David Robinson years. Thanks for chiming in lakers fans you wouldnt understand when you lose its cuz you suck. I take suns any day over lakers. Remember when they say the spurs are a class act its just carry over from David Robinson not (Duncan, Bowen, and Ginobili).

SPURSFAN50 is probably a Suns fan disguised as a Spurs fan because he is embarrassed to be a Suns fan.

That's what his tone suggests.

First off, Steve Nash is legit. His MVP and ultimate Hall of Fame induction are well-deserved. In fact, he is one of the few Suns I respect and admire. He remains, sadly, my favorite non-Spurs player in the game.

The guy has been gutty and class nearly his entire career. It was disheartening watching D'Antoni turn him into an afterthought in the series to get the ball to Diaw.

Marion finished this playoff series with practically the same contributions he's made in every other Spurs-Suns series--which is to say none.

Shaq checked Duncan better than anyone could have anticipated in the post. If Pop is able to make a good Pick and Roll combination out of Oberto and Barry on defense, D'Antoni should be able to cobble up a team defensive scheme to at least slow the Spurs.

Amare Stoudamire is the most overrated Superstar in the game today. He could be scary good if his basketball IQ weren't so dreadfully low.

ABOUT ME

ublanj
I am a 5th year senior at Our Lady of the Lake University. I changed my major from art to journalism (which explains why I'm taking an extra year) half way through. Sports are my thing, play as often as I can. Would be pretty good in fact if it weren't for the fact that I have little athletic ability. Seriously, my vertical leap is tip-toe. So, I decided to try and break into sports journalism, which is hard to do at a university with no sports program. Well, we play community colleges and get blown out all the time, but that's another story.
